Requested Song: "A Former Enemy", Mai Otome Request Link: http://gendou.com/amusic/req/?filter=A+Former+Enemy Original Title: "Shukuteki", Track 14, Mai Otome OST 1 (Otome no Hanazono) I already uploaded the file under both names, as you suggested, but I have to question the validity of that translation. As far as I know, 'shukuteki' just refers to an old enemy, not necessarily a former one. Given the mood of the song, and how it was used in the series (in events relating to the antagonist group Schwartz), the idea of an enemy from the past, or long-standing enemy, is more fitting than one that has since become non-hostile. Then again, I'm nowhere near fluent in Japanese, so meh. I feel I should note, as well, that in double-checking the translation, the only instances I found on Google of any kind of track listing featuring this exact wording were all from different trackers of the same torrent of the OST. That strikes me as a bit odd, myself, since it means the person who compiled the torrent did the translation, rather than ripping it from fan site or official listing (and, thus, that the translation would only go on to be found by anyone trying to download the torrent, or to people who had already downloaded it). Probably nothing, but I thought it worth mention... |
