Definitely Japanese. The only exception so far is Kenshin where both Japanese and English works for me. I can stand listening to english for it because the person who dubs Kenshin's voice is much more masculine. The person who plays Kenshin in Japanese is actually a woman. |

Japanese definitely. Like for Naruto, omg they totally killed it with those voices. Especially Naruto's voice which is done by some REALLY REALLY old lady. I can't stand watching the naruto english episodes :P |

| The english voices almost ALWAYS sound weird.I prefer japanese anime. |

A lot of people are saying japanese but I'd have to go with American voiceovers. I just can't get into any anime if I have to keep reading at the bottom of the screen.

DEFINITELY JAPANESE. THE ENGLISH DUBBING SUCKS, AND SO DO THE TRANSLATION OF NAMES. Sorry. I get so heated up when I talk about American dubbing. Can you believe it--they made Tomoyo from CCS into Madison!! IT'S SO STUPID. Ah. And that is my opinion. =P

Japanesse. The people who hire the American voiceovers...I don't even think they try. They probablly go from some list of people whoe think they have good voices and pick from it. And the voices are REALLY repetitive! Example: Inuyasha, and some guy from Gundam Seed. SAME voice. REALLY creepy. Man from Gundam: Are you sure this is the best way?(Or whatever he says) Dudes all timid sounding with Richard Cox's voice. Me: *imagines him as Inuyasha lashing out with Iron Weaver Soul Stealer* 0_0 Totally ruins the mood.

The Japanese voice acting as of late has become too sappy, so I've been leaning towards the American voices for a few series such as One Piece, though I honestly don't heave dubbed anime that much. Just came back to America last week. Think of it in simple terms. While the English dubs do sound pretty useless to accustomed to English, Japanese voices have the same issues. The term I'd like to tag onto Japanese voices is "overly dramatic". The one thing that will keep me on the Japanese side is the English dub of Banner of the Stars. No effort in that at all. |
