Force is the mass of an object times its acceleration (classically).

Newton is the guy who is credited with discovering the inverse square law of gravitation. Newton is also a unit measure of force.

Inertia is the tendency for an object to stay in motion once put into motion (again, very classical).

Force = Mass * Acceleration
so FAT guy running very very fast with constant acceleration FTW!

Force is the rate of change of momentum

Force = kgms-2= (m/lt2)

i don't know if it can be used here but using dimensional analysis

anything ( no matter what operation ) that end up with that is consider

force

eg. Force=Pressure*Area

Vast subject yet to be perfectly understood by scientists, even nowadays.

What exactly would you like to know or what is it your professor says you'd like to understand ?

To imagine what Gendou said the Inertia part, think of the flag on the moon. Everyone calls it fake but it truly is real because when they stuck it in the ground it was the *inertia* that made it look like it was "flapping" or that wind was making it move.

woot
