no, i dont use cheat codes. i briefly examine the save game file then edit it to suit my needs.

the first save file i ever edited was from diablo 2(rare for blizzard not to give out cheats for their games)... using a hex editor. it was mostly trial and error since i couldnt understand a thing. yes, i like cheat codes. but that doesnt mean i cheat all the time.

I only use 'em If 2.. 1. If I have beaten the game already and have completed everything there is to do...and just mess around for fun. Because depending on the game, there could be funny things to unlock. (or) 2. If I have a hard time on what ever I need to accomplish...

I use cheats for only 2 reasons: 1.already beat the game 2.get things I normally cant

I don't use cheat codes to help me in games. If I can't get past a level, and I've tried a bunch of times, I'll go look at a walkthrough for where I am. On the rare occasion where I have used cheat codes, it was purely appearance related.  |

they should release those cheat codes when the game is about 1-2 months old so many people already finish it. Coz finishing a game with out a cheat is really a worthy thing.

I will frequently use gameshark codes with emulated games, as I tend to get a little bored with them about halfway through... Of course, I make exceptions to that rule when dealing with classics from yesteryear... Also, I used the Konami code in Metal Gear Solid 3, during the fight with the End... I'm so ashamed! (which is why I'm taking him on in extreme mode...) |

Beat the game whitout any code is gamers dream, but if game is too hard some unpatient gamers search way to beat the game... yeah with cheat code... i think if we modify a memory like GameShark that gamers are really stupid (sorry) a cheat code are given by game programers its a good cheat... |

Depends on the game. I'll only resort to cheating if I want to get through the game fast for the story. But if it's too interesting, I'll stop cheating or not cheat at all. The only games I really cheat on are SNES games though because I don't feel like buying a Gameshark or whatever for my PS2. :P    |

Yes! Sometimes! I use cheat codes only for fun sometimes or when I'm stuck on a certain part of the game for a long time.  |

It depends on the game. If it's one that uses money or points, I'll use them. I don't like ones that give you shortcuts through levels or something like that though.

Nope.. I did it before when i was a kid just coz i keep on getting stuck (I was stupid then -.-).. but now wen i look at what I did, i realized that cheating just kills the game >.>.. removes the challenge and what not  |

I'll go through a game once, then go through it again after while using cheats.
