How do I turn on Hardware acceleration?

| I have a 16x dvd-writer. When I write dvd's on it, it only writes at the speed of 4x. When I start up Nero, it tells me that Hardware Accelaration is deavtivated, how do I activate it? And will it make the burning faster? |

It may be that you mistook the number 16 for write speed when it is actually the READ speed. Assuming you did not make this mistake, the software Nero may be incapable of utilizing the Hardware Acceleration technology. Or, the option to turn it on is hard to find, in which case i am sorry to say i cannot be much help, since I do not use Nero myself.

A third possibility is that the blank dvd's you are using are only 4x disks. The speed that you can write is limited by the type of disk you are writing to. |
