all living things that reproduce sexually do so by fertilizing an egg with sperm. if we had a magical time machine, and were able to go back in time, we could look at many organisms under a microscope during any period of the evolution of life on earth. we could watch, hypothetically, new genes emerge which enabled organisms to swap genetic information more and more effectively. at some point we would stop and say, "hey, this is basically sexual reproduction!" at that point, we would be either looking at an egg, or the parent cell of the egg. it is arbitrary which, because it is our human interpretation which decided the outcome. evolution is a continuous slow acting thing, the lines we draw to describe species are arbitrary. that which came first, before chicken, and before egg, was neither chicken nor egg. furthermore, there is no definitive transition from the prior to the later. one answer which i have heard, and that i find funny, is that the egg came first, but it was a dinosaur egg. modern day chickens are not present in fossil records, but eggs are. i take this answer is only as a joke, but it does help to illustrate how silly the questions is.

well, this is a funny answer: egg of course in the second story of creation,god first made the garden of eden. afterwards he created man; then the animals. it is therefore very evident that before there was a hen, there were already two eggs!

haha,i got a little idea what your trying to say backbeat but i'm not sure if you mean it that way.Btw,I always ask my friend this when he ask me questions which don't have any correct answers.
