Nobuo Uematsu FOREVER!!!

Nobuo actually is one of the best when it comes to video game music. since i'm also a final fantasy fan and i've heard so many compositions of his music in almost all of the FF games, So many of them are truly a masterpiece especially when it comes to the piano.He clearly sets a fine goal to making a great video game come to life when it comes to music. Even if your not a final fantasy fan or don't even listen to music at all, you will surely appreiciate some of his great work and for that i tell you the truth and nothing but the boundless truth!! I personally recommend the ffVII and ffx OST, here are some titles that should be taken quite likely: FFVII ost -"One winged angel"(and the Advent children version) -Cloud theme FFX ost -TO zanarkand -Tidus theme -auron theme(one of my faves) -Decisive Battle -Normal Battle(One of the best battle music I've heard in a video game) -Suteki Da Ne("isn't it beautiful",literally the song itself is beautiful to hear) I'm still learning piano lessons right now all thanks to an inspiring nobuo uematsu, the person who gave me the path to the world of music. Indeed, Uematsu-sama is one great artist; all time favorite of almost everyone out here. He's also part of the so-called Black Mages. Hontou ni? "To be forgotten, is worse than death." |

@Norvin You're learning piano? good on you... ^_^ How long have you been learning piano? I like Nobuo Uematsu's music too... have you try FFIX's 'Melodies of Life'? it's really good too...

YaY!Nobuo fans!I just love his music,my fav is the winning battle theme,that is the theme every series of ff has(erm..maybe ffI and ffII don't), here are some that i recommend: -aeris theme(ff VII) -balamb garden(ff VIII) -ami(ff VIII)

I'm suprised there aren't many replies. Nobuo Uematsu's good at music with simple melodies, especially ones like Sight of Spira (FFX) Fragments of memories (FFVIII) Interupted by fireworks (FFVII) Vincent's theme (FFVII) Decendent of the shinobi (FFVII) I'll be waiting here. So if you come here, you'll find me... I promise. |

You people are barbarians. His truest best music comes out in FF3/6 Play it. You can find it pretty easily online. Emulators are key. Of course, it won't be 3d graphics like FF8, but the lack of good graphics just make the beauty of the music shine out more. Also note that FF2/4 has some really sweet music, but the gameplay is (in my opinion) a lot lower quality than FF3/6 |

I love the underappreciated work that is Final Fantasy 8. :P Of course I do love his other stuff as well, notably from FF6. Bah, makes me want to play the game now..    |

| I've liked every final fantasy game music he's done but I agree with what was mentioned earlier that the music pieces that have stuck with me the most is from FF6. There is only one other VG music composer I like and that's the guy who did Chrono trigger/cross and xenogears I think. I'm sure someone will know his name. |

I absolutely adore Nobuo Uematsu! He's my absolute favorite VG composer, right before Koji Kondo. In general even, I consider him on par with classical masters like Beethoven and Bach. His epic scores and melodies are fantastic enough to set him above the realm of mediocrity. My fave soundtracks are from FF7 and FFX. It makes me sad to think that he won't be composing music as much anymore, but his legacy will always live on! GO GO Uematsu-sama!!!!!!   |

Nobuo Uematsu is indeed an awesome composer. My top five favorites works of his are: 5. One Winged Angel (FF VII) 4. Dancing Mad (FF VI) 3. Forever Rachel (FF VI) 2. To Zanarkand (FF X) 1. Eyes On Me (FF VIII) I also enjoyed the version of J.E.N.O.V.A. that the Black Mages do.  |

Myself, I'm very much in love with Eyes on Me (FFVIII). I have a rather good rendering for piano, and it's really good. The same person adapted Melodies of Life (FFIX), but the arrangement wasn't as good. I personally find all of his music great, especially his ending themes. I love the ending themes for FFVIII and FFIX! Also, I have a score from animescores.com (which in my opinion is one of the best anime score arrangers available on the Internet) call Tidus and Yuna's theme (Sky theme) and it's really very good. http://www.animescores.com/SheetMusic/TidusYuna.pdf |

Fav songs from FF7: OWA (effin' duh...) Weapon Raid Sending a Dream into the Universe The Great Warrior As for those last two, I love songs that have a strong meaning attached to them. Cid and Red XIII were probably my two favorite characters in the game, having the strongest backstories in the game (sans Cloud) these songs played for each of their defining moments, respectively. |

| Hello everybody!! I'm new here. Say, I bought 2 years ago the soundtrack of FFX from Nobuo Uematsu!!! It's so amazing great!!!! I love the sweet and somethimes funny music!It's really wonderfull! It's only a pity he didn't do the soundtrack of FFX-2. I don't like that music that much. Oh well,... ;) |

| I became a fan of Nobuo Uematsu-sama since 5 years ago when i play FF7,FF8,FF9.....Because of his excellent music I became a music lover ever since heard he'll be one of the composers of the long awaited FF 12!Damn can't wait!!^^ |

| hmm hello guys, i think i'm still new here. althought i join gendou about one year ago, i just use this sites forum about a few month ago. i think uematsu sama is the best game music composer forever, but i heard he is not involved in FF12 production. how come? |

omg he is a God! i went to events like "Piano Stories III" that featured his music and also from Joe Hisaishi. without a doubt i can say nobuo rips anyone when it comes to the gaming sounds. its a shame that i didnt get to see him at any of the events... but its great to see people playing his work its great!!! =] |
