About uploading files

I have uploaded a few songs that were on the request list. They are all of high quality but vary in bit rate. The names of the files are different to the titles of the songs supplied on the request list.
So I was wondering: what happens to the uploaded files? How do you ensure that the song uploaded is the same as the song requested? Would it be easier for you if I renamed the files to correspond with the name of the requested song?
Also, do the songs uploaded have to be MP3? I have some high quality WMA files I wish to share too.
Thanks for reading and thanks to everyone who uploads music - this site is excellent!

what happens to the uploaded files?
i use a program that transfers the files from my drop box to my hosting service, then record the hard link into my database. sometimes i have to change the name. if the files needs to be re-encoded at a lower bitrate, i do so and then upload it from my home connection (DSL -> slow upload).
How do you ensure that the song uploaded is the same as the song requested?
i trust people. if someone uploads a song with the wrong ID3 tags or a misleading title, i ban them and eat their hamster or house-cat.
Would it be easier for you if I renamed the files to correspond with the name of the requested song?
Yes that would help! Thanks.
Also, do the songs uploaded have to be MP3?
NO WMA! i do not run windows. bill gates wants to steal my brain. he is after me, i swear it! mp3, ogg, AIFF, or AC3 files only please. i guess you could send a MP2 audio file, if you really wanna be different. and for christ's sake, stop uploading those damn "Track 1.cda" files! what the heck is that?! stupid windows!! aarrrggghhhh!!!
oh, but if someone can find me a linux program that can convert WMA -> MP3 then that would be great ^_^

yes thanks to everyone for uploading! makes my life easier and more gratifying or something.

For that converter, the download is a *.bz2 file. How do you open it?

That link is for a converter in linux. If you are trying to find one for windows, try here, here or here

*note: I haven't actually used any of these software, so I can't garentee how easy to use they are, or other stuff. But it will get the job done.

Answering Gendou's rant about what a "CDA" is, I have discovered that this is the file type for a song burned to a music cd. it stands for Compact Disc Audio. I believe programs like Roxio have tools for converting them to mp3s.
