Heh, I'm self-teaching myself too. Um, what do you mean by Furigana? Are you refering to Hiragana or Katakana? Never heard of Furigana. |
Re: Do U have any japanese story for beginner?

Furigana is the small hiragana/katakana "subtitles" that are placed over, under, or next to kanji compounds to show you exactly how to pronounce them.

I have quite a few web-sites I self-teach myself to ^_^ Actually to learn the characters I used flash cards. I jsut wrote them on constructin paper and tested myself, or got a family member/friend to test me. Here are the site I use: (Gomen Nasai, I don't know how to make links T_T) http://www.learn-japanese.net/ http://www.japancorner.com/hiragana.asp (This one is mostly fun stuff) http://www.asahi-net.or.jp/~ft5k-ymd/learn.html This one is the best in my opinion. It has parts of speech and a lot of extras all for free. The only con is that it is a little difficult to get around. http://japanese.about.com/blbeginner.htm

Ohh... Thanks for clarifying to me Furigana. I know that there are the small hiragana or katakana characters to the top or side of kanji, but I never knew that they had a name. |

Try the story of Amaterasu and Susa no-oh, about the history of Japan. |

something like buying a book is good idea but, a thing I afraid is there are many kanji on it, and then I can't understand anything....

if you buy a japanese learning book, like nakama by makino/hatasa (the older edition is probably dirt cheap off ebay), it'll have dialogs entirly in hiragana. in the end it has kanji, but with furigana. |

It all just takes pratice. I'm self study for Japanese and I almost know the whole hiragana chart. Oh crap speaking 'a which I still need to study the katakana. I know I was supposed to study that first but what happened was....eeehhhh I not gonna get into that but yeah. |

Bleh, I hated Nakama. It was the first book I studied out of. If you are going to buy a book that is interesting, has a lot of good information and has good practice stories and passeges, buy Genki. Its a lot better than Nakama, which seems geared towards people who want to learn basic business Japanese. Also, check out WWWJDict @ http://www.csse.monash.edu.au/~jwb/wwwjdic.html. Even if there is no furigana on a web page, you can copy and paste to get the reading and meaning.
