| i know that shounen animes are for boys and shoujo are for gals..but some of us enjoy the other.. which do you think rox and why? |

i like shounen animes better. Shoujo is too emotional and lovey-dovey for my taste.

Shoujo, very much so and despite being male. I love the plots and general cuteness that a lot of them are made up of. Imadoki, Fruits Basket, To Heart.. how can one go wrong ^_^  |

Can't I have both? Why can't I have both? I mean, I like both Shoujo AND Shounen, they've both been very influental forces on my taste when I grew up..

Hear, hear.. depends on the story.. But I generally prefer shounen [[despite being of the female species]]. Shoujo animes normally have dozens of episodes in which NOTHING happens, just twenty-something minutes of pure character fluff or something or other.

| I also agree with you, guys. It all depends on how good their storylines are. but sometimes, shoujo animes really tickle my fancy. i cannot catch up with shounen animes at times...^^ |

I'm not particular with what kind of anime I'm watching as long as it can catch my attention 'till the end. So, I prefer to watch both ;)) |

All I really care about in shounen anime are the fights. If they aren't good or flashy, or if the story gets off track real fast, I have to let go. I'll mostly watch shoujo anime though because I'm getting more into drama and the like. :P    |
