As with the first thread, we're taking the two mechs from their highest points at the end of that series/movie. So this is the Arbalest from the very end of FMP and the Unit 02 that was fighting the mass produced Evas from the EoE movie. |

hmm...for the arbalest,is kaname right by sousuke side cause he tends to use the arbalest and the lamda driver much better when she is around o.O i'd go fot the arbalest though...cause asuka's AT field seems kinda weak... |

You know Asuka lost to the eva series in that fight right??? I'd bet on Sosuke. He'd probably do something extreme too like rig the area with explosives or something, even though they probably wouldn't do much. If the match gets drawn out, I'd bet on the Arbalest. If Asuka gets lucky early on, then maybe the Unit 2, although the power supply problems gives the Unit 2 a huge disadvantage.

Alright, could you people who just say one will win over the other just cause you like them AT LEAST give some real reasoning as to why they would win? It gets annoying when people don't even say why.

Even though Asuka lost to the Eva series, I still think she can win. Why? It's simple, more than once, amazing and unbelievable things happened. Who says Asuka can't get lucky and beat sousuke? Everything is posible. (She could just simply destroy the Arbalest)

Yes, but it's highly unlikely with his LAMDA driver activated. If he had his boxer shotgun, they'd be toast.

Well just by pure size and durability, the EVA has a distinct advantage. The Arbalest and its weapons are puny compared to a behemoth like the EVA's. Though the Arbalest will have distinct advantage in mobility, the sheer strength of the EVA would crush it in seconds with a single swipe unfortunately. Not to mention the ballistic weaponry packed on EVA fires round about 1/4 the size of Arbalest...and Asuka enjoys "spray and pray" tactics when using them, as seen on the show. There is only so many rounds the Arbalest can dodge. The only thing that would give the Arbalest a chance is if it managed to knock out the power cable to the EVA, bringing the fight from minutes to mere seconds...and hope to hell you don't die until the EVA powers down. As much as I love a small unit like the Arbalest, EVA is just too powerful to bring down on its own...however if there were a dozen Arbalest units... |

uhhhh.....no offense, but your information is a little off. The Arbalest is only 10 feet shorter that Unit 2. And I highly doubt the Pellet gun's ammunition is 1/4 the size of the Arbalest. The Boxer Shotgun that tends to be Sosuke's weapon of choice is almost the same size as the pellet gun, although since it's a shotgun the sheer volume of ammunition fired is greater than that of the pellet gun at any one moment (the rapid fire of it though would equal out).

Arbalest is better. Why? i like a computer that jokes around. and Arbalest sound cooler than Unit2. why? Play C&C, and then build unit. "Unit Ready"  |

Arbalest Have you guys forgottan about the Lamban *Whoops! Forgot spelling! Blushes!!!* Driver on it??? :p NOTHING can hit the Arbalest. So doesn't matter what size the ammunition is. Remember the fight against Benemonth in FMP 1??? The machine is sooooooo huge and yet one well placed shot is enough to destroy it. :P So Arbalest is better. |
