Too any1 who reads this,

Recently their were a few requests for Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children songs. Out of those few requests, i happen to have one called "One Winged Angel - Nobuo Uematsu." So since it was a request, i uploaded it. Then the next day i saw that my upload points wen down -9 and i was like "Impossible"?!?!? So i clarified if it was an actual request, then that request was gone. Now i check the Dl. page, it was not added.
I'd like to knoe...

1-why was the request remove?

2-why did i lose points for doing the rite thing(To upload a requested song)?

3-Why did i lose an odd # of points...9???

4-And lastly, was this a mistake of some sort?

First of all, Final Fantasy 7 is a game. Shinji's Game Music was gone a long time ago. So no game songs here! That's probably the first mistake.

On the upload page it clearly states:

Please, do not upload any files that violate the Request Rules.

The person who made the request broke the rules.
It sucks that they did that, even though I have measures in place to avoid such violations.
In any case, your upload was a waste of your time, my time, and the server's bandwidth.
I understand that this was unintentional, so I did not ban you or yell at you or anything like that.
In fact, I created "upload points" in order to give feedback as to wether or not your upload was appreciated and useful.

Out of curiosity, why was the song request for "Last Order" from FF7 Last Order taken off the request list? I mean, it's debateable, even if it's in a anime-ish style, whether a CG movie (Advent Children) based off of a game (FFVII) is an anime. But FFVII Last Order was essentially a one episode OVA (and in case anyone hasn't seen it, it is in fact undeniably anime as regards to style of animation; thus the argument made against FFVII Advent Children is null).

As a side note, I wouldn't assume that the person who made the requests was ignoring the rules. It could be an honest mistake; Final Fantasy is considered anime by many circles, and since Advent Children is a movie, it doesn't quite fall under the "game" clause. Technically it comes down to a debate over wheather something done in CG and not then made to look as if it were drawn by hand is an anime. Of course, I could be wrong, but I think this whole issue is caused by a misunderstanding on what counts as anime, rather than because of someone not knowing and/or heeding the rules.

Sore wa... himitsu.

Ulto Leif, the short answer is that I define the word "anime" on this website. "Anime" is not an objective set, it is subjective.

I agree that "Last Order" was anime. That I removed requests for it, I apologize. I admit I did not pay close attention to some of the requests I removed lately. I was only responding to several forum posts.
