How do you gain back someones trust?
I figure here is as good a place as ever to gain advice. Not long ago i made a few mistakes. I went to friends to confide in and not my closest friend (who i call my brother). he took this as that I did not trust him. He stoppe taking me to TaeKwonDo with him and stopped speaking to me. If I hang out with our friends he wont... he is realli hurt, his girlfriend told me he feels less important to me because i went to other people. so if anyone can tell me what to do to gain back his trust. please.

talk to him and ask him how he feels and tell him how you feel.
Also tell him if you can why you did not go to him.

Oh and also tell him that he is important to you because he is.

BE PATIENT

all i can think of right now.

Light and Dark

With something as serious as serious as this sounds, I would suggest you actually have a word with him (either over the phone or in person, but not electronicly) and explain that he misunderstood your actions. You need to make sure he understands that you know he feels hurt and that continuing to avoid reconsiliation will only hurt the two of you more. Try to get back together to just hang out a play video games or whatever you do. Rebuilding a trust relationship is a slow process, you need to give each other time, especially him because he was the one who felt betreyed.
I don't claim to be an expert on any sorts of relationship problems, but I know that you need some understanding between the two of you that can only be accomplished by a whole-hearted talk in person. Just play it naturally and put enough trust in him to pour out your heart to him like you once could. Just remember, it will take time.

Re: How do you gain back someones trust?
@ psoplayer... i would but he wont speak to me
He skips training so he doesnt see me or comes late so i cant see him before and spends break doing xtra training with our master so i cant approach him then. he ignores my calls and wont even listen to his girlfriend... I think it is maybe hopeless

No it's not hopeless yet. If it means that much to you, you will go out of your way to corner him to tell him how you feel. Does he even want to be friends with you anymore (at least, that's how he's acting)? Ask him point blank: Do you want to try to resolve this or would you just avoid me for the rest of your life? Even if he still doesn't say a word back to you, you can't blame yourself for his stubborn reaction to an innocent misunderstanding. There will be a point where you've done all you can do, but that's not anywhere near yet.

You have a real problem there because earning someones trust back is one of the most difficult things there is to do. Start with an apology. I have found many times a sincere apology works miracles whetehr you are right or wrong. Try to talk to him. Tell him, honestly, why you went to your friends, that it has nothing to do with him or the confidence you hold in each other. Don't forget he feels very hurt by this and you have to let him know how you feel as well. If he is not answering or returning your calls the write to him. Not email but a handwritten letter or a letter in a very nice card. If you want to restore your friendship whatever you do must be done on a very personal level.

I hope you are successful.

Kotuso I enjoy having you here very much however please refrain from spam. If you have something to say either way you are always welcome too.

Move on,this guy sounds kinda whiny anyways, and ask yourself "do you really wanna be a friend to this guy." If he's actually being stubborn instead of being a wimp then he'll eventually, the pressure of avoiding you will get too high.

Try this.

Pick one:

Get close enough to hug him sweetly then say,
Get angry at him and say...
Be kind and gentle
Be hurt.

Whatever shows him how you feel so that he knows it and then say...

"This is stupid, you are my brother and we love each other too much to let somthing stupid like this interfere with what we are to each other", then click here and apologize again.

Re: How do you gain back someones trust?

Then go to his home nd do it. Rejection is something we all have to fear even me. Rejection and loneliness are two of the things I fear most. Yet if you don't do it you weill never have the chance to tell him how you feel.

*Idea* enlist the aidof his girlfriend of you can. Tell her what you want to do and see if she can help. Don't give up until he says, "Get out of my life". Even then I wouldn't give up. Not for something I want.
