Male Characters who deserved the title "True Hero"

Ok, so my first thread was a bumer, so how 'bout this; "Which male charaters can be considered as a true hero in all anime series that you ever watched?"... Here's a list of mine; - Onizuka Eikithi (GTO) - Hanamichi Sakuragi (Slam Dunk) - Vash The Stampede (Trigun) - Harima Kenji (School Rumble) - Son Gokou (Dragon Ball Series)

kenshin himura, of course, beacuse he did many great things for Japan to be a safer place ^^. there are many other characters but kenshin deserves the honor to be called a true hero. |

From FMA: The Elric brothers (Edward and Alphonse) Although they are on a quest to restore their original bodies and claim that they're not going to let anything get in their way, the fact remains that they do many good deeds along they way, and each have a strong sense of justice. Roy Mustang Okay~, so at times it seems like he's completely morally bankrupt, but when put in a *serious* situation he tends to do the right thing. Though not perfect (despite what some fangirls might think), he cares about his subordinates as people and not just as followers. Even Edward, who hates him, admits that he's trustworthy (in the manga; I'm not sure about the anime). Then all the typical Shounen manga heroes: Ichigo Kurosaki (Bleach) Himura Kenshin (Rurouni Kenshin) Yoh Asakura (Shaman King) Yusuke, Kurama (Yu Yu Hakusho) Also Recca from...Flame of Recca. |

i agree that kenshin deserves to be called a true hero.. but the biggest hero to me is edward elric!!!probably he does not contribute much to a nation or sth but he's a real hero,protecting his brothers without a single cowardice!!isk isk..the elrics brothers are soo amazing!!   |

talk about brothers, Teppei Takamiya from Bt'X is the exact same type of person! risking his all to save his brother Kotaro from the Machine Empire AND saving the world from destruction! he's awesome. >___0 Guy Shishioh from Yushaoh Gao Gai Gar and Shiro Amada from Gundam 08MS also owns the perfect personalities of a true hero >__< ! |

Heero yuy, kenshin, all the main characters from the original gundam's(08th ms team, 0083, 0080, etc.) and Spike from bebop of course.

Definitely Kurosaki Ichigo (Bleach). I mean, he freaking went through Soul Society to save Rukia...that's more than enough to make any girl swoon ^_^ Rock Lee (Naruto). You just know he's gonna save the world one day ^_^

| Kuwabarra of Yu Yu Hakusho. Yusuke is the hero but so is Kuwabarra. He's a kind man with a good heart. He just lacks intelligence and looks. |

Himura Kenshin from RK, Vash the Stampede from Trigun, and Asakura Yoh from Shaman King. What is so heroic about Kenshin is his vow to never kill, no matter who it is, and his gentleness and kindness. Vash also vowed to never kill and he was seriously traumatized when Wolfwood killed (I think) an evil boy in front of him. Vash is also all about spreading "love and peace". Yoh is the best friend anyone could ever have, and never gave up on Lyserg even when he became a total a*****e; his ability to trust is sometimes his best trait and worst weakness.
