Dakuten and Dakuon

I've been wondering for a while. Why in some composite words the second word is marked. ie: ãã¡ becomes ãã¡ in ã„ã‚Šãã¡(入りå£). I have a pretty good guess, but I just need clarifitcation. |

No one really knows. Not even the Japanese. But popular theory says that it's to make certain mora easier to pronounce in their new positions. I was taught to just learn each pronunciation change as I encounter them.
