problem downloading mp3s with wmp

when i click on an mp3 on this site (any mp3) windows media player starts up normally, but then i get an msg that says windows media player has encountered a problem and needs to close. because of this, i'm not able to save the mp3s OR play them. i've already tried re-installing wmp several times (series 9) but no luck. does anybody have any solutions to this prob??:(
