It is in Russian. On the soundtrack, the symbols are not japanese, but Russian, also some of the words Origa sings are obviously not Japanese, like "propesti(not sure if i spelled it right)". Both Inner Universe(1st season) and Rise(2nd season) are in the same language. Hope this helps! |

Yup, I guessed russian too when I first heard it. If you listen to any tATu (or anything wack like that) you'd be able to hear the resemblance. ![]() .:|Hidders|:. Love shounen-ai? Yaoi? Boy's love? Come here to find great links to BL scanlators! |

It's Russian. Origa is a Russian singer, and she wrote part of the lyrics. Part of it is in English, and that part is written by Tim Jensen. Use the search engine ;)

0_0 whoops sorry Link-san, my mistake, forgot about Shanti Snyder. I only seem to remember Yoko Kanno and Origa... |
Re: Ghost In The Shell - SAC OP

Yoko doesn't seem to use one language in any of her songs...the opening is in...i think...russiana and english The trouble with an eye for an eye is both of you end up blind |
Re: Ghost In The Shell - SAC OP

Origa is the singer of four different songs in the 2 serie's of GITS SAC, she sings both title sequences and is a russian singer who likes to link her russian with english versus's Yoko Kanno admired Origa's singing from afar until she knew that her voice was what was needed for the beginning feel of the 1st series, it went so well that she is still respectivly performing songs well into the second gig and is most probably going to in the third, so in answer to the initial question yes the language is russian and english, the song inner universe was written by Origa and performed by her, while Yoko Kanno provided the score!
