regular tyre and alignment maintenance

After a few months of highway driving, my car started pulling slightly to one side and the tyres wore unevenly much faster than expected. A mechanic mentioned alignment and balancing might be the reason. Now I’m wondering how important regular maintenance really is long term.

Tyre issues probably affect more parts of driving than people expect at first. Even small alignment problems seem like they could gradually change handling, comfort, and fuel usage if they’re ignored for long enough during everyday driving.

Uneven tyre wear usually starts showing up slowly, so a lot of drivers keep using the car without realising how much comfort and handling have changed over time. I noticed this myself after longer daily commutes when the steering began feeling less stable and fuel consumption increased slightly. Instead of replacing tyres immediately, I decided to check the overall setup first. After comparing a few places nearby, I booked an appointment with a shop offering automotive services in Edmonton because they handled balancing, alignment, and tyre inspection together instead of treating everything separately. The difference became noticeable within the first few drives. The car felt smoother on the road, steering response improved, and the tyres started wearing more evenly afterward. It also made longer trips feel less tiring since the vehicle tracked more consistently at higher speeds.
