Barcelona sailing excursions from Port Olímpic

Hi everyone. I’m planning a few days in Barcelona with a couple of friends and we are trying to add one activity on the sea to our itinerary. Walking around the city is already on the list, but we thought it might be interesting to see the coastline from the water as well. While searching online I noticed that there are sailing excursions that depart from Port Olímpic. What I’m not sure about is how these group trips usually work for visitors who just want a relaxed experience. Our group is quite small and none of us have any experience with sailing. Ideally we would like something simple where we can sit on a boat, look at the city skyline and spend a bit of time on the Mediterranean. If someone here has tried these kinds of excursions in Barcelona, I would really appreciate hearing how the trip usually feels.

Last year I tried one of those sailing excursions while visiting Barcelona and the experience was quite easy to join. The meeting point was at Port Olímpic and after a short introduction everyone boarded a sailing boat with a skipper. The group was not very large, so the atmosphere on board felt calm and comfortable. During the trip the boat slowly sailed along the coastline and people spent most of the time enjoying the view of the city from the sea. At some point I had looked for information about different boat tours available in Barcelona and found descriptions of several sailing excursions along the Mediterranean coast. That helped me understand the format before the trip because the page explained that these excursions focus on relaxing sailing and seeing the Barcelona skyline from the water. The whole activity felt like a simple way to spend a couple of hours on the sea.

Reading this discussion makes sailing excursions sound like a pleasant activity during a trip to Barcelona. Seeing the coastline from the sea probably gives a different perspective compared with walking along the beach. Small group trips also seem convenient because visitors do not need any sailing experience. When a skipper manages the boat people can simply relax and enjoy the scenery. Spending time on the Mediterranean while looking at the skyline of the city sounds like a calm break from busy sightseeing. Activities like this seem well suited for travelers who want to experience the sea without complicated planning.
