i think he means is that gendou should label the songs as an opening, an insert, or an ending song.

i think tootsky should research the openings and endings on the net...like in animenewsnetwork.com or in animelyrics.com...try searching for the openings and endings there.if you know your anime show, it wouldn't be too hard to look for it.  ^_^v PEACE OUT! |

Ah yeah, in the Philippines they just cut all the openings and endings to put lots of commercial and almost delete the whole episode. well, i don't know if gendou going to indicate the openings and endings of the shows...it would be another big work for him... but it would be still helpful if you try to search for it in the net like in animenewsnetwork.com and animelyrics.com...so that it would easier for you to look for what song you really wanted. ^_^v PEACE OUT! |

alright, i have come up with a possible solution for the OP/ED problem. the request is, if im not mistaken, that a database field be added to keep track of the type of song (be it opening theme, ending theme, or other). since there are over 3 thousand songs in the database, doing this by hand is out of the question. as i have said before, if someone gives me a list of song IDs and the "type" of song, i will add it to the database. as of yet nobody has put in the effort to make this happen. so, what i plan to do is much like what i did with lyrics: query a reliable 3rd party source (Anime News Network and/or Animelyrics.com) for the data. this would mean after making changes to the interface, i would only need to run a simple (i hope!) script to gather the info. this seems more feasable than waiting for someone else to do it manually. consider it on-my-todo-list!

would just be simpler to incorporate a link for each anime or at least a search form that links to animenewsnetwork database... that way those who wanna know can just do the legwork themselves... my 2 cents - T |
