Can you be sure that a lottery is fair?

Is it possible to somehow control the drawing process? Is there any result manipulation? Right now everything works in a way that I buy an online ticket, wait a few minutes and then check if it is lucky or not. What is behind this whole process is unknown.

And is there something behind it at all? I always thought that a lottery is pure random. A combination of numbers drops automatically, all bought tickets are checked automatically. That is more or less how I imagine it.

I assume the only way this is solved is by buying a ticket on official sites. Like government lotteries. Is there even any point in rigging it? I don’t know 100%, but I think the answer is no. And sites like Sambad, which publish lottery results, for example from dear lottery 12.10 25, also can’t influence the numbers in any way. It’s just an aggregator site that posts the results right after they appear.
