While reviewing a thread on Bleach topic, some doubts came to me. I was just wondering, how many animes that has the Title differ from the story. Many says, 'Bleach' coz not many people know what the title has to do with shinigamis and hollow killing. Anime that can exactly describe it's genre: Slam Dunk - all about basketball Prince of Tennis - obviously Tennis Hikaru no Go - All about go and one more, abt a spirit who loves 'Go' Yu Yu Hakusho - initally translated as 'Spiritual Blank Book'. At first I thought that this story would turns out to be something like a soul taker, recording people's bad deeds into a so called 'Spiritual Blank Book' and then forward the book to Enma Diao for him to make judgement on them ~_~ Eto, please lemme know your opinion. Which anime title do you think that protraits the story the best and which don't. Ja mata ne, mi-chan

Naruto : Story based around a kid named naruto Ragnarok the Animation : Ragnarok...The Animated Version Full Metal Alchemist : An alchemist who was given the title of Full Metal. However, Full Metal Panic...maybe it's just me, but i can't see too much of a resemblance to storyline apart from the fact the AS's are made of metal lol... |

Groove Adventure Rave : Rave-master Evangelion : The robots called Evangelion Vision of Ecaflowne : The main charas drive a Guymelef named Escaflowne Inuyasha : who don't know? Onegai Teacher : The teacher is the main point of story Chobits : Chii is a Chobits (legendary Persocom)  |

Cowboy Bebop: Bebop is the name of the ship and they are all cowboys (bounty hunters) Rurouni Kenshin: About a mysterious rurouni (wandering samurai) named Kenshin Saiyuki: means "Journey to the West" (an old chinese story/legend) Get Backers: called after the retrieval group the "Get Backers" Matantei Loki: translates into "mythical detective Loki". Considering Loki is a norse god, this is an apt title. Wild Adapter: called after the strange drug that is spread in Japan. Naruto: named after the main character One Piece: called after the legendary treasure Luffy and co are searching for. |

I had Forgotten the name of the Ship In Cowboy Bebop. ^^; Another to add Witch Hunter Robin - about a young girl named Robin who well , hunts witches. |

@xaige he's a wanderer not a wonderer^^ anywho, i like Neon Genesis Evangelion Neon= new Genesis= beginning Evangelion= those biotechnological robots I think it means that they could artificially create a new beginning with the use of the Evas--- which was more clearly shown in End of Evangelion ^^ It's also nice because it's a very religion-based title, ne?    m y . Cowboy Bebop fits pretty well, because they are bounty hunters, which are kinda like cowboys. And bebop kinda describes some of the music.  |

Jigoku Shoujo- new anime...about a girl who delivers people to hell but taking orders from ppl who hold grudges against other through a web board. basically...Hell girl.... Shakugan no Shana- a title for Shana....she actually has no name...but only a title... Black Cat-...well main character's title.... >_> Gundam series- basically...all those titles are all related to the main characters in some way Juuni Kokki- the story takes place there of course and then there's more too much to list

@MsTree Here's the interesting part, the experiments are being done on Lain, but Lain is unconciously doing expermients on the existance around her, including those who are performing experiments on her, so it could be called Lain's Serial Experiments.

Pretty much all anime titles suit their stories. Why would they call it something that is wasn't about? FLCL is another story, however... |
