Is window film a good DIY for beginners?

| I was thinking about taking on a weekend DIY project and window film caught my eye. But I’m a total newbie when it comes to any kind of home improvement. Has anyone tried installing windowfilm themselves as a first-time project? I’m curious if it’s doable without prior experience or if it’s better to just hire someone. |

| I tried doing it myself last summer. It took some patience, but with help from this windowfilm guide, I managed to get a smooth finish on my living room windows. It’s not perfect, but for a first attempt, I was happy with the results. Just be ready to spend a few hours on it, and definitely work in a dust-free environment. |

| I’m always amazed at how many different DIY projects people take on over a weekend. Window film sounds like a nice way to improve a room without major construction. It’s great that there are resources out there to help beginners. |
