Hi all! I’ve had balayage for years but now I want a solid rich color instead. Is it easy to make this switch or does it damage the hair? Anyone tried this?

I made that switch last year — from balayage to a rich chocolate brown. To be honest, it can stress your hair if done wrong, but if you go to a good hair color salon (I actually found mine on hair coloring for women ), they’ll make the transition smooth and safe. My stylist did a gentle filler treatment first to even out the tones before applying the solid shade. The result was shiny and healthy, no weird patchiness or breakage. I definitely recommend letting a pro handle this type of change — your hair will thank you!
