Simple question
Link | by Hakkeshou on 2005-10-28 17:37:58
My girlfriend likes to say stuff in Japanese from time to time, and I correct her with my limited knowledge, and usually things go alright. Last time though she wrote "Sorega wa himitsu desu" to which I replied "drop the ga or the wa". She insists that she's right and that Xellos from Slayers says that all the time. I'd like to know who's wrong.

You're right. Combining 'ga' and 'wa' together in the same sentence is grammatically incorrect; it has to be one or the other. Xellos always says "Sore wa himitsu desu."

"Nazo" means riddle or mystery.
