Charlie and Blanka, are one?!!

When I was a kid, i really like to play street fighter even though it is freaking expensive for me... As years go by, i got hooked up with capcom and i started researching about them and the games that they release,the latest news about them, and the story of each character in street fighter... Only one story that got my head spinning around is the story about guile and blanka... As i remember correctly, in the american animation of street fighter, blanka is charlie,guile's lost bestfriend... But in the anime' version,blanka is one of the experiments of general m.bison and charlie was not in the seen. And in the game,street fighter alpha 3, charlie and blanka are two different persons. can somebody answer my enigmatic question:"What's the real score about them? What's the real story behind tose two characters?"

| I guess there's always different stuff each time. I think I remember while researching the storyline once (yeah I do that too), that Capcom never made those anime versions, they only gave license to the people or something like that. |

The Street Fighter Storyline tends to be different with each release... The Street Fighter 2 Blanka ending explained that he was a lost child that was somehow "changed" (rather "mutated") after disappearing in his village... But if you have seen other endings it's kinda hard to put them into place... One Alpha ending showed Charlie being killed by Bison's minions and another ending shows Charlie being captured and experimented ... To be clear... Each series has a different story of its chars... (Alpha was considered to be a "prologue" but when the story is linked with other series... it just messes up everything...) BTW... don't follow the US "Street Fighter" which showcases Guile as the strongest character... Ryu and Ken are the original main chars... Look For "Street Fighter II the Animated Movie"...(By far... It's one of the best Game title turned to Anime Movie... If you've seen Art of Fighting, Samurai Showdown, Tekken, and the past Game titles that was turned into a Movie or OAV in the 80's and 90's... you'll know why...) It is based more on the game... (My only wish is that Eagle should have been in more Capcom Games other than Capcom vs SNK 2...)  Kneel Before the Great and Benevolent Cow! |
