From Dusty Shelves to Cash

I’ve been downsizing and found a ton of books gathering dust—some great reads, but I know I won’t revisit them. Any advice on where I could sell these? Preferably online since I’m not keen on hauling them to a store. I heard about a few sites like eBay, but I’m wondering if there’s a better place for books specifically. What’s your go-to?

A couple of years back, I unearthed a treasure trove of novels and textbooks during a big declutter session. Some were too nostalgic to let go, but most I knew I’d never touch again. I started with eBay, but honestly, it felt like a slog. Then I stumbled across this article about places to sell used books: https://bookscouter.com/blog/where-to-sell-used-books-in-dallas/ — super handy for figuring out the best spot for your specific stash. I ended up using a mix of local buyers and online tools from the list, and the process was way smoother. Bonus: I kept a small fund from the sales for fresh reads!

If you\'re looking for a place to sell unwanted books online other than eBay, consider platforms like Amazon Marketplace, which lets you list books individually, or specialized sites like BookScouter, which lets you compare offers from different buyers.
