I was sitting here trying to think of how to answer your question and I had a thought that had never ocured to me before. The answer is yes. From the time I met Ranger until the time he first kissed me was about 3.5 hours, maybe another 30-45 minutes before I let him(?) he took me(?)to bed. That was something I had not intended to do at all. I met a total stranger, allowed him to take me home and kiss me then made love with him. Sometime between when we fell asleep holding each other and when I woke up and found him next to me I fell in love. I had never even let anyone kiss me before, I was saving myself for marriage yet I had let this total stranger make love to me. When we met I had no interest in finding or having a boyfriend. My goal was to finish college and find employment and boys did not enter into goal. I didn't know that much about boys anyway so it made no difference. If he hadn't of asked the most incredibly stupid question in the world I probably would have never talked to him. As it was we did talk and I did let him give me a ride back to my flat and the rest. He managed to charm my socks off that first night in about 30 minutes. He can still charm my socks off. Yes you can fall in love at first sight or at least within a few hours. I should get him to post an answer to this as well.  |

Jaycee, I believe in love at first sight. I have a similar story as Lady Rin's, only that person never wanted to put back into the relationship. The person let me fall for them, and then stole from me and slandered my name with lies. I had honestly cared for them at first sight, but not all love can ever go both ways. People often ask me why I ever put up with that person, and how I can actually believe in love at first sight after all the hate in my life(I have had a lot more problems in life than that. Most are still affecting me today in more than just emotional pain.). I can only answer them truthfully. I saw that person and fell in love. That person could stand over me with a gun and demand me to never love them, and I would honestly die with the words "I will always love you" written on my lips. As sad as that may be, it is very true. As for still believing, I did fall in love at first sight. You know when you do. It really pulls you underwater to face the shark, and whether or not you want to avoid the shark or follow it is all your own decision. And Lady Rin, I am very amazed to hear your story. I had always thought that your signature was of an original character that you later named yourself after. I would love it if you could get Ranger to post as well. I am guessing that you two ended up together, but correct me if i am wrong. You never really DID tell what happened after you woke up that morning. ~Tasuki17502 |

Togther we  Ranger and Rin Ranger We are sitting here after dinner together on the sofa and Milady wants me to post on love(lust?) at first sight. OK, Like Rin I had no interest in being where we were that night had I no interest in finding a gf since I had broken up with one the year before. When I first saw Rin she was looking at a sculpture of a girl about 10-12 jumping rope with her braids in the air, skirt flying and the rope at the bottom of the swing. The entire piece was held in the air by the jumprope itself. I siad it was very nice and asked her what held it up and she answered, "She's held up by art"! However it was the way she said it (see the thread on heart or brain in love) that started me going. We were at a formal ball for military officers and she was wearing a ballgown with a huge full skirt and it was too long on her. she was also wearing heels that were too tall for her as well. We started talking about the piece and I asked her if she wanted a drink and I guess that's when I decided I wanted more of her company. As we walked out of the room it seemed like she was fighting with that dress. A constant battle of control. She held it up so she wouldn't trip on it and had to guide it wherever she wanted to go. She moved very carefully as if she made a mistake the dress would win. She looked like a cross between an almost graceful young lady and a frustrated little girl. I finally asked her if she had a ride home and when she said, "no", I asked her if could give her a lift and she said, "yes". Lucky me. I didn't find out until later she there was a car available to take her home. I drove an english sports car, tiny bucket seats that and Rin in a too much dress was something else. She was stuffed into the seat with the gown pushed down and around her so she could see out and more frustration a little anger maybe over being stuffed in to the car. When we got to her flat and I opened the car door she practically fell out trying to stand up in that dress and I caught her. She asked me in for a cup of tea and we stat on her sofa and talked. when I saw the time I told her I had to go and her face changed, a look she still has today the one that's my sweet Rin. So at the door I kissed her. Very gently and when I looked at her I said, "It's very late little girl and it's time for you to be in bed" and if Rin want's to tell you more she can. At that point I didn't want to let her go. I wasn't really in love only I wanted to keep her for myself. The next morning looking at her asleep with her hair in ribbons which she still wears I thought she was the most beautiful women/gitl I had ever seen and I didn't want to leave her alone. As I left I took the ribbons from her hair and asked if if I could return them in 2 weeks when I was next off for a few days. She put them in my pocket,we kissed and I left her looking dazed. I couldn''t wait a week. I drove to see her the following weekend. I joined the local flying club to get there faster in a plane. Love at first sight? Yes, it exists. Most of the time you get burned. you can't help it and you have no control over it. Rin and I have been together for 22 years and she's still my little girl. Rin I'm going to print that out and keep it. I was 20, naive and didn't know anything about sex other that what I had heard at high school. I was taken by someone who represented one of the things I dislike the most in life, war. He didn't laught at me in that dress and I remember I appreciated that because I had already been laughed at enough that night. We sat in my flat and he told me about the desert where he grew up and when he said he had to leave I didn't want him to. You remember everything every detail of your first kiss. His arm around me, smells, sounds everything and it's just like in the books my world exploded. However I was still a naive schoolgirl and when he said it was time for me to go to bed I thought he was actually going to put me to bed, tuck me in and leave. I didn't want him to leave and I was very glad he didn't. My first kiss, making love in the same night is something I never had imagined. As he left the next morning I was thrilled to the center of my being when he took those ribbons from my hair, it meant I would see him again. My sig, our sig says, "Together we", it was created on another forum I don't even remember why or how only it represents everything we are to each other. Our courtship was 3 months long, our wedding was a faerie tale come true and while our life is not a faerie tale it's close enough for me. Now we have been sitting here writing about our romance for quite awhile. so now I think I am going put on something nice and soft and take advantage of some of togetherness. Tasuki I understand about hate as I was raised with it ane there is no room in my heart for hate. I also believe there is right someone for everybody. *huggles* Pleasefor me, tonight, open your window before you go to sleep and wish upon a star. | I believe in it, but my friends says there's no such thing. They say it's just lust, not everlasting love. My friends would say how you dont even know that other person truly so there's no way you could be in love with someone you just met. I think I got confused, so no gf for me yet, not that I dont want to find a girl that I like. Damn. |

Tasuki both Ranger and I consider ourselves very fortunate to have found each other. There was a time where it almost fell apart and we managed to save our marriage. We still have problems and there is never enough money yet we are together. That's all that counts in the long run the two of us. I am very happy we made you feel better. Because you seem to need one.  Faerie tales can come true. All it takes is imagination, a little effort and some cash. |

Yes I do. I've been with my boyfriend for a little over 5 years now and I still remember the first time I saw him. It was pretty much likewise for him also. It's funny how love works. |

I don' belive in love at first sight!!! I do believe crush at first sight but not Love!!!
The downside of loving and having anime is...they don't love you back... But that never stopped me from loving ANIME!!! hehehe

I'm glad Maia's here. According to some people it's infatuation that turns to love and we have talked about that in this thread. I do believe in love at first sight because it happened to me at least I like to believe that. Maybe infatuation did play a part only after our first night together it was over a week before I saw him again and I couldn't wait. After less than 12 hours together I found myself alone in my flat at night and a little lonely, I wanted him to call. I had never really felt that way before since I was single, had a social life, friends and was in college. There was a huge difference in the before and after of the night we met. |

i dont know if this would be called love at first sight but i saw a girl a complete stranger that i suddenly like. I have a sudden feeling of making her mine to sleep with her and many many other things

My mind was dominated by a little brunette with green eyes in a too big dress. I don't care what you call it. I met Rin by chance and for the next week and a half I sat in my quarters at night thinking about her and playing with the ribbons I took from her. I had met a tiny girl who was not my type. I was wrong. No one has ever made me feel like Rin does, not even Sandra my first wife, not even close. Like Rin I was lonely that week and I had never been before. |
