Question about requests

| Hi. I'm still new to the site, but I've downloaded many songs here. I'm a big fan of what you do, and I think that it's really cool that you offer all these songs for free. Well, I've been looking for a song and I decided to make a request, but how exactly does it work? Is it that the more votes the requests get, the more likely you'll upload it? Or is the requests just up for other people who see it to upload it themselves? No rush, just wonderin' how it works. Thanks! |

the concept of voting was to gauge which songs people want the most, and to eliminate the irritation of multiple requests for the same song. if i have a song, i upload it. if i dont have the song, i wait until someone uploads it. it could be the case that people request a song then upload it, which is OK by me. i dont look at voting anymore because people just go through and vote for every song, or, vote for their request a million times. if i notice someone doing that, trying to 'fool me', i ban them and remove their request. retards.

| so...I'm assuming that after you upload the song, you remove it from the request list. However, how long do you keep the song up before it is taken down? |

Srry - I did read it but didn't realize that it would pertain to requested songs (though I wonder why I thought it wouldn't?) Anyway, so others don't make the same mistake: Where did that song go? It was there yesterday! After two months (60 days) most songs will tend to 'fade offline'. This is a result of my hosting system, and is unavoidable. You may request that the song be made online again at the request list. |
