Being Banned

I noted recently that Lucian was banned from Gendou. I normally wouldnt notice something such as this except that it seemed he was only banned for swearing. 1. Liability You acknowledge that all posts made on this forums express the views and opinions of the author and not the administrator. In other words, the administrator is not liable for the contents of posts that are not his own. Does it not say that you take responsibility? Yes I did read the rules in full before making myself in to what may be a complete ass. Do not post any abusive, slanderous, hateful, or threatening, or sexual content. But the author of the story did start the slander by calling Lucian a "Jack***" so it seems a little unfair that he would be spared and Lucian not. Perhaps I am a fool. Lucian did go above and beyond what swears were thrown at him but I believe in freedom of speech and expression. I do not pretend a full understanding of these concept any more than I understand advanced calculus but I do understand the people should have the right to say what they mean. I apologize if I have wasted anyones time or made myself look uneducated and ignorant but I have siad what I came to say. Thank you to anyone who cared to listen. And to Gendou, you need not waste your time responding to this, I am well aware that keeping up a website is alot of hard work and that certain things must be done to keep it running smoothly.  |

I agree. Why was Lucian banned? The other guy started it by launching a personal attack on Lucian in response to a perfectly polite and objective criticism of his story. If Lucian's going to be banned, then at the very least the other guy should be banned too.  |

Someone reported the post made by the banned member in question as abusive. I read it free of context and found it innapropriate, so I banned them for a short time and revoked their privilege to post. If the author of the thread was also abusing this forum in one of their posts, click "report" nexto that post and I will review it. I will make all attempts to remain impartial. However, I frown upon disrespect of people's intelectual property. If you disagree with my decision to ban this user, please communicate to me in private about it. I do not want flaming on my forum.

He asked for opinions on his story, all Lucian did was give his opinion.
