Trouble burning downloaded songs to CDs

It's just what it sounds like. I downloaded the "Tsubasa wa Pleasure Line (Karaoke Version)" song to my computer using the recommended method (Save Target As, etc.) and it plays just fine. The problem comes about when I try to burn the track onto an audio CD. There isn't a single program on my computer that will do it. Media Player says it "cannot synchronize", and every other program I've tried burns it in some sort of format that isn't accepted by any CD player in the house. Believe me, I've tried everything and wasted several CDs. *Gets on knees and begs* Please help!

Try downloading it again, and try burning some other songs to assure that your burner didn't just quit working on you. If it still doesn't work, try using a converter program to convert the mp3 to a wav file and then burn that to a cd and try it. |

Thank you for your suggestions, psoplayer. Unfortunately, I'm an idiot and nothing is working. - I downloaded it again, burned it again, and wasted another CD. - My CD burner is working fine, i just tried it. No problems there. - I don't even know if we have a converter program. Do audio programs like Media Player and Real Player have conversion tools? How on earth do I use them? Thanks so much for your help, and I'm sorry I'm stupid. ^.^

No, not a driver problem (I don't think so, at least...) and it's still not working. I do refuse to give up, but this is getting very annoying. Gr.

i have to go with psoplayer's suggestion... try converting it first your last resort might be to reinstall the burn prog... (it might be corrupted... or something..)  Kneel Before the Great and Benevolent Cow! |

The problem with converting it is, I have no idea how to do it. Any suggestions, programs that have conversion tools, etc. would be really nice... ^.^

Cancel my earlier suggestion of reinstalling your burn prog.... your last resort is to find another place to download that song... Kneel Before the Great and Benevolent Cow! |

Evidently I have a conversion program. (Like I said, I'm an idiot...) It worked like a charm. Problem solved. Thank you all so much for your help!
