What exactly killed Spike

| From watchin Cowboy Bebop 1000 times Ive noticed that he's been thru alot worse than that last battle with Viscious so what killed him exactly? |

| lol! Everybody has thought that. What were waiting for is the second series to start with spike all bandaged up again in the bebop. (there isnt going to be one as far as I know.......*cry cry sob*) But I think spikes death does bring a fitting end to the series. |

Well if you want to go into it that much, I think the real reason he died, is because he lost his will to live *SPOILER* when Julia died. Therefore, when he was shot, he did not resist death, but merely accepted it. That a satisfying reason? lol. |

I've always interpretated that Spike was dead the whole series and told us his story through the grave |

| Valfor: I think what he means is that. Yes he realized that but maybe there is a deeper reason as to 'why' Spike died. Though I must say -andrew-'s take on it is what I've thought. |

I've read in magazines where the editor told us we'd have to figure out if he lived or died..... kind of like the end of the Tenchi Universe series... you don't know if Tenchi really picks Ryoko, but it really implies that he did. We don't know if Spike realllllly dies right? unless it says he does (its been forever, I really can't remember)... so It just depends on how you want to look at it. I think he died o.o..... |

http://www.big-big-truck.com/bebop/alternateending.html As for the movie, it takes place before the series ends. I thought you were going to learn more but it's just pretty much a 2 hour episode. To me, that's both a good and bad thing. Good because it's more Bebop, bad because like I said, you really learn nothing new about the characters that is too significant.
