Can anyone just say why they tend to suck so much, and soil the prestige of the source material? |
Re: Anime Games
|
They're just trying to make money off of the popular titles. So the quality of the game is definately going to suck. |

its kinda rare to find good quality anime games in the market... and i agree with 'sO' that companies just wanna cash in... Kneel Before the Great and Benevolent Cow! |

There are some brilliant ones, and some not so good ones. I actually liked the story from Tales of Eternia (just bought the PSP version to play it again :)). You just have to search. Unfortunately the choice is poor in the US, and the choice is 1.Phantom Brave 2..hack// in the UK. And I thought that the FMA games were a disappointment. UncleChan |

Re: Anime Games

The naruto ones are ok, I guess. |

The second FMA games was alright. Naruto games are pretty decent. ...hmmm.... I can't really think of much else at the time...

I thought the DBZ: Budokai games were good, plus Gundam Battle Assault 1 + 2. The .hack games were okay, but I got bored after .hack//MUTATION |

www.himeyashop.com for imported games. ^_^ The "Anime games suck" designation isn't entirely true for all titles. Chobits and Princess Maker 4 are both great titles for the PS2. Ichigo 100% Diary and Shuffle! are also of good recommendation. The .hack// series is a great 4-game line-up but should only be invested by those who have a long attention span. It really depends on what genre you're looking for. The ones I listed are mainly adventure and simulation games. For fighters, the last DBZ: Budokai (3 I think) was pretty good despite the lacklaster appeal of the earlier two. Other than that, the doujin games Queen of Heart 99, Melty Blood, and Eternal Fighter Zero are all excellent old-school style 2-D fighters for the PC.

not all anime games sucks! one example is tales of eternia(tales of destiny 2). it's one of my favourite game!! but i realised that nearly all anime games are versus/fighting games... ex: rave groove adventure, one piece, shaman king..... |
Re: Anime Games

The only anime game i have played is fma 1 and 2, and it was ok. The only reason i liked fma1 was cuz i like the anime, as a game it sucked. Fma 2 was much better in every way, besides it was so short.

Some anime video games suck because they are basically eye candy for the fans(I know; I'm one of them). Anime video games are not as well thought out as other video games, especially when it comes to the battle system. Unless you're a fan of the anime, don't buy the video game. But like what other people said, not all anime video games suck because DBZ: Budokai definitely did not.

I appreciated Pokemon games in gameboys, as well as Mario games. What else... Aye, add Zelda. The Yu Yu Hakusho and DBZ titles that I once played in Sega console were good too, at least I think they were original. But in the succeeding consoles, they would suck. |
