I played the N64 version a little bit. That's all the Castlevania I've been exposed to. Honestly, I thought it was okay despite what I heard. Any recommendations as to any other good Castlevania games? |

My God, where to begin? If you can handle the 8 bit goodness and hours of frustration I recommend Castlevania 2: Simons Quest. For better play control, an even playing field, and some good times you can still get Castlevania IV for SNES. I also really highly recommend the Dracula X series (The original Turbo Duo version and Symphony of the Night). I played Castlevania Chronicles for PSX and I like the remixed version over the original (Go through it again after the first time and it is a beast). Sega also had one that was pretty good, Bloodlines I think it was called, but the play control was god awful and the game at points was just too freakin' unfair. ![]() |

Nothing with a specific storyline or characters? I mean with the different series like the Final Fantasy series most of them. |

The one's on GBA were good (Aria of Sorrow and Harmony of Dissonance). Although Symphony of the Night is my fav. |

My top three Castlevania games are: 1) Symphony of the Night (PSO) 2) Simon's Quest (NES) 3) Aria of Sorrow (GBA) The original and Dracula's Curse, both on the NES, were also pretty good. So were the other two on the GBA. |

After you finish all those games they recommended you should go and try curse of darkness! It's like syphony of the night except 3D, an added combo system and this time familiars are essential to the gameplay, and the music is suberb! |

Castlevania is on my top list, especially Aria of Sorrow and Symphony of the Night. Still desperate on buying Castlevania on PS2, and the only game that I hate in Castlevania is Harmony of Dissonance (GBA). ![]() |

The Castlevania series has some of the funnest games that I have ever played. I've just about played every single Castlevania game for each console and I would have to say that Symphony of the Night is one of the most enjoyable games...EVER.

Love the series, had somethign to offer you every game and it wasnt pointless. Besides, one of the first " darker " topic games to ever be created in video games on the console. |
