Debt consolidation?

Hi there, I’m in a pickle. Without giving too many boring details: my significant other can’t work. We are drowning in credit and student debt. This is the second month in a row that one of the credit lines has overdrawn from interest fees alone. I only make about $35000/year gross. We are applying for AISH soon, but we are not 100% sure whether or not that will go through, nor how long it will take. I guess my question is: should we be filing for bankruptcy? Looking in to debt consolidation programs? We are both in our mid-to-late 20’s and have never encountered a problem like this before. I could use some guidance, and anything that you guys have would be very helpful. Thanks for reading. |
