I've never played a clocktower game, so I wouldn't know about them. But out of Resident Evil and Silent Hill, I'd have to pick Silent Hill. The Silent Hill games are just so much fun. I haven't laughed and been extremely disgusted at the same time for quite awhile. And it's so much fun to scare yourself to the point of absolute paranoia. XDDD Good times.... Silent hill has the... er... Feel and essense of a Scary movie.. (Generally... its wierd and spooky) Resident Evil has... suspense of when/where a zombie is gonna attack or How to beat big monsters thing... Clocktower... er... the controls and stupid AI made me laugh...  Kneel Before the Great and Benevolent Cow! |

| I actually like all three, though the controls for the Clocktower games are REALLY annoying. I am a big fan of Resident Evil AND Silent Hill... They both have their good points, but it's like trying to compare an Arnold Schwarzenegger movie and an Alfred Hitchcock movie. One is a lot of fun and action-packed with lots of cheap thrills, and the other is more suspenseful and concentrates on plot and character. |

| resident evil and silent hill are two of the best scary games ever. silent hill is definetly more scary but i find resident evil a lot more fun. |

I'm voting for Resident Evil. I love Resident Evil 3. Actually I wanted to play Clock Tower 3 but I'm very scared. My sister sure got the guts to play Fatal Frame. I like the storyline anyway. By the way she's using cheats and couldn't finish up the final boss. I couldn't finish up my Silent Hill (PS 1) and S.H 4 (PS 2) They're hard to play!  |

| Honestly, out of all of these games (and I've played each at least briefly...), Clock Tower 1 (translated snes rom) is the only one that realy and truely scared me... |

| All three scare the crap out of me x.x;; though I would have to say either 'Silent Hill' or 'Clocktower.' The 'Resident Evil' games get boring after a while (the first few are pretty much the same x.o;). The part in 'The Room' with the wall-lined mirrors? Nightmares. Holy. Hell. 'Clocktower' just has really, -really- freakin' scary villians. That and the fact that you can hide/use things in the room to hit them with is pretty awesome. |

as far as scare factor is concerned, id say silent hill. but the best survival/horror game i've played would have to be resident evil 4. it brought RE to a whole new level.  |

Resident evil is the best for one of those commando horror games, but for survival horror, Fatal Fram 1,2 &3 wins hands DOWN!!  |

| the best game i would have to say is the RE sreries i have played all of the except outbreak i think because it really sucked. my 11 year old brother screamed and ran out the door while i was playing RE4 |

| hmm, i haven't played clock tower, but when it goes to scary, it's silent hill. the environmental is just spooky. You feel like you're actually walking in the dark. In RE, all it does is surprise you, and when you play for the 2nd time, it won't scare you anymore. But silent hill does... |
