I'm being forced to do a course on physics about the universe and whatnot and need to study the 'Big Bang Theory' and 'Life Cycles of Stars' can anyone help me out? ;^^

That depends on what you need to know. I can tell you the basics but that's about it, feel free to ask me if that's actually what you need. |

=) thanks - uh... could you please tell me the basics? i'm still kind of clueless and since i'm reaching the end of topic lol - i'm going to have a test on it *laughs* what's the life cycle of a star? i'm sure that hasn't been covered yet and thanks again =)

Try these two sites for some help: Wikipedia: Stellar Evolution Wikipedia: Big Bang

*Gets glomped* Ouch... watch it... that hurt... lol... Anyway, Wikipedia is nice for basic and surface-deep info. That should get you started. Good luck in school!

*laughs* i didn't intend it to hurt... *sniffle* Xp ne, Rayn (can i call you that 'cause i'm REALLY lazy when it comes to names lol - even the FOUR letter ones i shorten them lol) what's the hardest subject to cover in physics? and thanks *hug* there - better? Xp

Re: Stars, Space etc.

Thanks, I feel better now ^_^. And don't worry about calling me Rayn. I have a lot of people call me that. It just suits me better. The hardest subject in physics to me seems to be particle physics/astrophysics... lotsa stuff can happen. Basically anything non-Newtonian cause those branches can be a bit confusing at times, at least to me.

*blinks* whoa... i still have that to come? *gulps and starts saying her prayers* ne, Rayn - fancy helping me dig my grave?

Well, exactly what grade are you in or what year of college exactly? No need to start making your grave yet ^_^;

*wipes sweat from forehead* going to be in college next year - i'm just in senior year secondary/high school - thing you attend before college/uni (i don't know a lot about school schemes lol), last year! woot! but i have some 'big' tests to do and physics is one of the subjects... yay! *gulp*

Don't worry. A lot of what I just talked about (at least the details of such) is in college. However, unfortunately, that does mean it's coming though seeing you are so close to college. O_O

It won't be that hard. I mean come on, I'm a fifteen-year old 10th grader who actually sorta understood relavistic mechanics! If I can do that, you can handle particle physics!

argh! lol - relavstic mechanics?! ah! i study languages an' all but... this one's completely new to me Xp *gulps* does radiation somehow fit into this? lol *shivers* so many... technical terms... *faints* lol

To relativity? Not that I know of. Particle physics? I think it does.

*mouth forms an 'OH' shape* so THAT'S what rev... whatever means... i didn't know lol and you understand that at 15? whoa... same age but my head's already spinning at the sound of it! and radiation i only met a month ago!... i think... lol

Then you must be smarter than me if you're 15 and in your senior year. O_O

*laughs* maybe we have different class thingies... i WAS meant to be in the class below but i didn't get moved up becaused i was uber smart lol it was in primary school - i could already read and write so they shifted me to an upper class, so i'm one of the youngest in my lol

not to be rude but please use email or instant messenger for personal correspondences. indeed, general relativity can get tricky once you examine things like time dilation and length contraction. i like how einstein said something so simple and obvious, with such dramatic ramifications for physics at the time. "all physical laws are the same in all inertial reference frames." the most prominent postulate of this being that the speed of light, being a universal constant calculable without ANY inertial frame at all, is always the same. letting go of the "ether" seems like it was the hardest step towards better understanding the universe since the escape from aristotle's crystalline spheres.
