I personally always thought of myself as a craftsman, even before really getting into anime. I remember making a lacorred wooden samurai sword my freshman year of high school for a project I was doing. Sibblings liked it so much, I ended up making three more. However, lately Ive been meeting more and more people who are into the tailor end of things. Yesterday, I found myself wandering through a fabric store wondering just how to make a cloak, going through their patterns. I may yet turn into a costume maker...

Hmm, I was thinking about a light grey wool. Sort of something that looks a little more traditional, say, lord-of-the-ring-esq. See, the problem was, in my head, I had a sort of practical (Chicago winter == hell frozen over; very Dante), full cloak design going on. Most of what I saw in the fabric store was geared towards costume design, so quite a bit more flamboyant than what I was looking for. If you know any good patterns for cloaks or capes, tell me. I'm open to ideas right now.
