just out of curiosity, did anyone watched onegai techer? how are the series? what is it all about? |

its about a kid who is inadvertently involved with his teacher, romantically, and she happens to be an alien. in my opinion, the metaphor 'alien' is meant to symbolize 'gaijin'

I liked Onegai Teacher although if you took out the sweeping-vista shots, it would be half the length. The last episode is bizarre but it's generally a fluffy anime about a boy called Kei who has a disease which means his body can fall into coma-like things (which means he looks three years younger than he is) and after waking up from one of these things, he sees an alien land on earth. This alien then becomes his teacher and in order not to be discovered, they have to get married (there's other reasons but I can't wholly remember why) and the anime is them trying to hide the marriage from his friends and the fact she's an alien. I thought it was sweet.

seen it........... if i am to rate this id giv 2/5... better u c onegai twins or midori no hibi.... great op/ed songs though

| personally I liked the series but then again lately I have been watching a lot action packed anime so it was a nice change of scenery |

Personally, its one of my favorite series of all time. The reason I enjoyed it so much was not only the humor (which had me giggling like a little girl most of the time) but the fact the series was able to bring to light a number of really important indepth themes into only 13 eps. First theme-> A kid with a mysterious disease that causes him to drop into a psudo-coma whenever he gets stressed out. An eighteen year old who looks like a fourteen year old who acts like a twelve year old. Second theme-> A teacher from another plantet comes to earth, but has severe emotional problems of her own. Gets married to said protagonist. Kudos to Please for making this completely believable. And many more I cannot mention otherwise it would ruin the first half of the series. But I can say this, this is one of the best animes I have seen with actual character development that is not solely limited to the protagonist. EVERYBODY changes, and Please managed to pull it off within thirteen eps.

There's also sequel-or-not-so-sequel-as-a-set-up-that-runs-afterwards-and-happens-to-have-a-few-of-the-characters-in called Onegai Twins. I found it more drawn out than Onegai Teacher but it's still a lot of fun to watch.

At least the first volume of the dvd has been released in america, but honestly now, not that I want to start a flame war or anything, but dub quality tends to be a bit sub par. Sound like me little bro.

| I found it a great enjoyable anime, which gave a great story between the teacher and studend, it was a fun anime to watch. |

onegai teacher is a more romantic series while onegai twins is much more base on comedy.

hehehe i finished watching it so this is my comments i thought it was as ort of ecchi thing but im wrong!!huhuhu thank god cuz when i watched the ova it contained somewhat i expected heheh!! i dont let my little bro. watched it cuz it's rated r. I like tha anime becuz the story is great the illness plot and teacher student affair. I hate their two friennds doing something not suitable for a 15 years old to do!! Finally herikawa has something with yamada!!! im looking forward to the sequel onegai twins i hope it will be great also. the opening and ending are sung by kotoko kinda like it!!

this anime is definitely one of my favorites...hahaha...not because it has some scenes with... hehehehe... its a slight of comedy-romance, the whole teacher-student affair. try to watch the OVA, hehehehe, but don't let ur little sis or bro to watch it, they'll end up asking you what mizuho's mother is holding...hahahahahahaha!

i've just finished watching it some time ago. I think it's a good anime with lots of romantic scenes and comedy =D But i haven't watch onegai twins. Are both of them related? |
