or if you are talking about "i'm done" as in you finished your meal, it's 'gochisousama deshita' And if you are talking about "i'm done" as in you finished your work let say at a part time job. If I remember from anime, they used "gokurousama deshita" |

If you want to say "I'm done" as in after doing a task, you can use general termonolgy such as: 'Owarimashita' from the verb Owa(ru): to end/finished/done 'Yarimashita' from the verb Ya(ru): to do *it is used in past tense here* 'Shimashita' from the verb Su(ru): do *past tense* |

Nejigirl, r u being sarcastic? I've been getting sarcastic replies from people (not from here...yet) lately. But no, I'm not pro, just a 3rd yr uni student doing JP as a unit and who have watched too much anime (when is it ever too much anime anyway?) and listen to a lot of JP songs. |

Usually, in the sense that you've finished something, like Toujiru said, it's Owatta or Owarimashita, or you can use Shita/Shimashita. Usually, you'll find it's Owatta though ^_^ |

I personally use 'owatta', the plain past-affirmative form of the verb 'owaru'. 'Owaru' meaning "to end/finish/'done'", as previously stated. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
