Anime girls you actually LIKE.

See, for me, I tend to like anime girls whether they're paired with the show's heartthrob or not. I tend to like them because of their character. My list goes: 1) Cagalli Yula Athha (Gundam Seed/ Gundam Seed Destiny). She's strong-willed, and she has a heart as big as her mouth XD. Despite being a princess, Cagalli doesn't act like one and she'll do anything to ensure the safety of innocent people. She's also skilled in combat and a total tomboy (but she DOES look great in a dress XD). She isn't perfect, and she knows that-- in fact, she'd probably rather be as far away from perfect as possible. Her temper is fiery and she sometimes acts without thinking, but it doesn't make her any less cool. She sees people for who they are, and can accept that, unless they're dangerous. 2) Haruko Haruhara (FLCL). The zany, wacked-out chick from FLCL. Okay, so she's evil. Whatever. She's awesome, who cares. She has a thing with hitting Naota over the head with her Rickenbacker bass. Personally, when I found out her true intentions, I wasn't surprised or anything. I thought it was really cool. 3) Robin Sena (Witch Hunter Robin). The firestarting heroine of the show. She's very powerful but it took her a while to keep her strength under control. Robin is very quiet and reserved but she'll speak her mind when necessary. 4) Excel Excel (Excel Saga). Ooookay then, what do I say? If you think Haruko's crazy, you haven't seen Excel. First name Excel, last name Excel, she can ramble a mile a minute and escape what could be sudden death unscathed. She's not exactly bright, but she's tough and can certainly hold her ground (like in the episode where she and Hyatt go undercover as teachers). Excel has a habit of talking to herself, confusing the hell out of everyone around her. Oh well, it isn't like she doesn't confuse us anyway. Not to mention, she's head-over-heels in love with Ilpalazzo, the leader of ACROSS (the secret organization she's with) and would do anything for him...even kill herself. XD 5) Lucy (Elfen Lied). The depressed Diclonius girl from Elfen Lied. A Diclonius is a two-horned mutant human with these things called "vectors"-- invisible hands that rip everything apart within seconds. She's a crazy murderer. And she has a split personality. She's just plain awesome. 6) Lacus Clyne (Gundam Seed/ Gundam Seed Destiny). She's a pop idol, yes, but while she may come off as being a pink-haired ditz, she really isn't. She's very intelligent, and very kind. She treats even her enemies with respect. She's a soft-spoken, peaceful girl who wishes the fighting would just stop already. It takes quite a bit to get her upset, as she's confident in who she is and ignores insults as best as possible. Lacus is anything but stuck-up, and I'm sure there's a part in all of us that wishes we were a little more like her. 7) Fllay Allster (Gundam Seed). The exact opposite of Lacus. While Lacus represents purity and kindness, Fllay represents the normal human emotions of anger, envy, selfishness and hatred. She's a manipulative bitch, I'll admit. But it's her many flaws that make her so endearing to me. Unlike Lacus, Fllay is realistic. There are more people out there like Fllay than there are people like Lacus. That doesn't mean we have to like them, but it can be refreshing to see a realistic character in anime once in a while. 8) Casca (Berserk). Casca is badass all the way. She's an excellent warrior, and, like Cagalli, she'll voice her opinions if she feels the need for them to be heard. Casca is incredibly tough and would take down anyone that tries to do her harm (unless it's inevitable, like the ending, which I won't spoil). However, her story doesn't end a happy one-- after a certain set of events, she goes insane. Her mind has regressed to that of a child's, and she's left to walk the world alone this way. 9) Winry Rockbell (Fullmetal Alchemist). She's seemingly a normal teenager, until she finds a new gadget of some sort. She's a mechanical genius and she goes after metal like the average girl goes after jewelry. Her reaction is incredibly cute. Winry's very smart, although occasionally a little naive. I love this girl to death. 10) Misato Katsuragi (Neon Genesis Evangelion). She's cute, smart, and bubbly. Okay, so she's a bit of an alcoholic, but considering what she went through, ya can't really blame the girl. She'll do whatever it takes to ensure Shinji and the other EVA pilots are happy. She's also a rather "human" character as I see it-- she has her own issues that affect her everyday life. She can be selfish, and she has her own insecurities. She cares about what certain people think of her and she doesn't want a ruined reputation. I'm sure there we all have issues like that somewhere inside of us. There are plenty more, but those are my top ten. The other ones that really stick out include: Julia (Cowboy Bebop), Miaka (Fushigi Yuugi), Hitomi (Escaflowne), Misaki (Excel Saga), Miyu (Vampire Princess Miyu), Leila (Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust), Meryl (Trigun), Rem (Trigun), Millie (Trigun), Stellar (Gundam Seed Destiny)...etc.     |

I feel like I'm the only person who doesn't like Winry. >>; Ech. Let's see... Sizer (VoH), Ocarina (VoH), Yuzuki (Chobits), Hawkeye (FMA), Blue (Wolf's Rain), Sakura (Tsubasa)... Can't think of many more. D: But I know there are some! |

Kira-sama// I don't 'like' Fllay, really. I know it's a contradiction to what this thread is about, but I don't actually 'like' her character. I like the IDEA of her character. She's a realistic character who shows the normal negative human emotions. She's portrayed in a sort of 'darkness' rather than the positive, happy 'light' that, say, Lacus and Kira are shown in. It's as though Fllay and Lacus could balance out as one human being. As I was saying about Fllay being shown in a 'dark' way-- this is a rare occasion for anime characters unless they're villains, and I don't consider Fllay a villain. She's just a manipulative bitch. Sure, she's exaggerated a little, but look at Lacus-- Lacus is sweet and kind and gentle ALL THE TIME. Lacus is just as exaggerated as Fllay is, but in a more positive way. The way I see it, Fllay is "negative" and Lacus is "positive". (Like a battery! No, no, I'm just kidding. XD) |

The girls I think rock the chacha: Misha from PitaTen Shia from PitaTen Koboshi from PitaTen Fuu from Magic Knights Rayearth Towa from D.N.Angel Mio Hio from the D.N.Angel Anime Emiko from D.N.Angel Ayame from InuYasha Rebecca from Yu-Gi-Oh! (she's so adorable!) Mai from Yu-Gi-Oh! And, with the exception of the ones I just can't remember, I dislike the unlisted Anime girls for some kind of flaw in their personality that clashes with mine. I like the Anime girls I think I could be friends with. I dislike the ones I know I'd dislike if I actually knew them. ^^ Makes sense, right?

Let me go through my list:(not in any specific order) Motoko Kusanagi (Ghost in the Shell) San (Princess Mononoke) Robin Sena (Witch Hunter Robin) Jo (Bakuretsu Tenshi) Alita/Gally (Battle Angel Alita/GUNNM) Lucy (Elfen Lied) Lacus Clyne (Gundam SEED/Gundam SEED Destiny) Sakura (Naruto) Ne Ne Ne (ROD the TV) but by far my most favorite anime girl is(also not yet mentioned): Relena Peacecraft from Gundam Wing people may try to kill me now but she has a strong character and she is very sure and persistant about what she believes in. She's even more persistant concerning Heero Yuy. |

I'm not sure whether you are asking about girls you would enjoy as girl friends/ reg. friends, or bed buddies in real life, or as girls you'd like if you were an anime character in one of their animes... But i'm gunna set all that aside, and just list them because i just like them (in no particular order, just from which they flow from my brain and through my fingers.) Kitsune Konno (aka Kitsune) - Love Hina Rei Ayanami - Neon Genesis Evangelion Asuka Langley - Neon Genesis Evangelion Faye Valentine - Cowboy Bebop Excel Saga - Excel Saga Mamimi samejima - FLCL Haruko Haruhara - FLCL I'm sure there are many more which i like, but at the moment, that's all I can remember. |
