I havent watched Evangelion
|
I know any serious anime fan would have watched it by now, but I bought the series with the 2 movies over half a year ago. Ive heard the ending is terrible and I dont care for mech and space themed anime. Here is my question: is there ending really that bad? whithout spoiling it for me, tell me. Is it just the series had a crappy ending and the movies made up for it or it was all bad. Is it sad or does it go no where and end in a Berserk fasion? Tell me what kind of ending it is with out spoiling it, and tell me why I should go watch this so called famous anime. Please no sploilers of any kind. |

Telling the ending without spoiler's kinda contradictory. But anyways, in my opinion, I thought the ending was weird. Or rather, I wasn't even sure if it was the ending until there were no more episodes. It was like, "Huh? That was the end?" (*blink blink and blank stare*) I haven't watched the movies yet though. |

Evangelion is amazing. You're missing out if you don't watch it. However, you need a really sharp mind (and some knowledge of the Kabbalah) to understand most of the series. You need to pay attention to -every- little detail that goes on, or else you'll be lost. I had to watch it over a few times to fully understand it myself. However, watching the movie "End of Evangelion" helps clear some of the ending up-- I believe the ending was meant to be somewhat vague in order for the viewer to create his or her own opinion on what happened. It's the kind of ending where both everything and nothing are resolved. You need to figure it out for yourself. You need to come up with your own view on what went on. Piece it together using the knowledge you gained from watching. From my perspective, Shinji finally understood the meaning and value of his existence. I won't say anymore as it would be a spoiler, and you don't want any of those. =) |

Well, I put it on my to watch list. Even if I didnt watch it I still bought it so eventually I was bound to watch it. Im not particulary looking forword though because I heard the creator of it had something to do with Revolutionary Girl Utena. Is it like that anime at all? If it is im already depressed. |

Yes, the ending is horrible. The ending ruined the whole series for me...but if you've already bought it, then I guess you might as well go ahead and watch it. Most of the series is great...it's just the last few episodes, and the movies that are bad. ![]() |
