BitTorrent files of the music here? (suggestion)

| I just joined because I'd been hunting for the Dark Chii theme from Chobits, and I was wondering with the amount of content on the site and the turnover of files why it doesn't seem to have a BitTorrent sub-page. As a new member with broadband I of course want to burn through the site downloading absolutely everything and I know this becomes a real strain on bandwidth, so has anyone actually made torrent collections of the older files (see how ocremix.org does it - every 250/500/1000 [depending on time] songs get put in a torrent so newcomers or people whose hard drives fry for some reason can download them really easily) or is there a particular reason why it has been avoided? (after searching for torrent references I didn't see anything about this - just about anime download requests) |

Good question. Gendou.com is more about downloading samples than albums. I do not expect my users to substitute my website for buying CDs. There are already plenty of trackers dedicated to Anime Music, namely nipponsei. Also, bittorrent sites have a nasty habit of getting shut down.

I know.. but sadly these site tend to be substitutes for the CDs because a lot of people (at least of the ones I know) who like anime and anime music don't have high disposable income (students etc.).. plus living in Australia it can be quite a pain to get some of this stuff that isn't dodgy anyway without forking out a fair bit more for importing generic torrent sites do get shut down, but some of the specialised sites (ie. anime) have been up for a long time and are likely to stay a while because they take precautions such as disallowing licensed material and removing things if they get any warnings about them. besides.. this site seems to catch some straggling tracks that are popular but difficult to find in other collections (either albums or mixed collections) |
