I prefer the DS, I love the touch-screen. Not sure bout the PSP it doesn't look very good imo.

hmm... well considering they are two different media type handheld console systems, I can't really pass judgement. Most of my friends perfer the PSP though. However as much as I play my friends PSP's, I can't stop playing the warioware games on the GBA and the DS. it's just too much fun XDD. but as I said, I can't really put my finger down on which is better.

I guess I'd have to say DS, its cheaper, the games are cheaper, its batteries can stay more hours without recharging, its looks better, and the the dual-screen is a touch of genious!!!

i have the psp and played both the psp and the ds. the dual screens and touchscreen are gimmicks, while the psp's features give extra functionality.

you can do the same thing as a dual screen can with one larger screen. this way, you don't need to keep switching your view.

as for the touchscreen, the technology is a decade old, and it seems only first-party games have fully utilized the properties. third-party games, such as nanostray, just use it to switch weapons, easily accomplished with a button. and taking your fingers off to switch weapons would likely get you killed.

the only thing the ds has going for it is its price tag.

PSP... can't compare to the DS. Nintendo all the way! even though psp graphics are much better, the battery life for it is shorter than the DS meaning lesser hours of fun :P. One thing people say is good for DS is the touchscreen but if your friend plays it while eating a bag of greasy chips then your DS is screwed ^^

DS. The PSP is suffering from a lack of good games.
Indeed. The only big game comming out soon is the dumbed-down GTA.

The DS, however, has the touch-screen pushing along games like Age of Empires, Metroid Hunters, Kirby, Advance Wars: Duel Strike. Meteos would suck without the touch screen...

And Ossu! Tatakae! Ouendan! looks hillarious.

Nintendogs really isn't for me, though.

Then there's of course the expected games. Mario Kart DS, the new Mario side-scroller.

The touch screen is the perfect mouse or anolog stick replacement (Mario DS screwed up with the analog stick simulator though. It shouldn't move around the screen... that was bad.)

The PSP does have many good features, but its definately not for me.

DS!! PSP's got no Pokemon and it's too wide. Looks odd

I wonder why the PSP doesn't have pokemon. MAYBE it's because Nintendo OWNS the rights to Pokemon, in conjunction with GameFreak...

How I see it, the PSP is thinner if I remember correctly. They are both bricks to me, as are all handhelds, but the PSP is less of one than the DS. The only thing I see in the DS that blows away the PSP is it's durability. Most of Nintendo's handheld systems are like tanks. ^^

its hard to tell in this early stage what is the leading handheld console. We will have to wait for atleast 3-4 months to see what will be more successful. My own personal view is that the PSP will dominate even though i prefer the DS. (its the name Sony that catches peoples eye)

Not just games; music, pictures, videos, movies... Definately PSP.

But then again... if you can... why not get both? ^^,

I like the Nintendo DS better then the PSP. I have a MP3 Player, a computer, and a DVD Player so I don't need to spent $250 on some piece of garbage like that.

Each handheld system has his own... "spice" therefore you cant actually say for certain which is better...

yeah... but they have quite a line up... Ranging from an Anime All Stars game(forgot the title... but it features chars from RK,Slam Dunk, Naruto, DBZ...etc... However I think its only available in Japan...), An original Lunar game,A Katamari game, A new Castlevania title and a remake of Xenosaga...

PSP has... GTA:LCS, The Movie capability (with of course... region control...),MGS Acid titles, some NES/PS1/PS2 remakes....and some Online remakes from PS2 like Monster Hunter and SOCOM...
