what do you guys think of that anime? i thought it was the worst one i ever seen (besides pokemon, digimon, etc) but my brother likes it better than bleach. when he said its better than bleach, i was like WTF......

I like it though, it totally made fun of Cooking Master Boy, which is the worst cooking anime ever. I like the over exaggerateness of it. It's a PARODY!!!! It's a good one too imho. I like bleach and this series all the same. But I just have a feeling that bleach will be similar to naruto all over again. bleh. Action and parody is different ne~ lolz

haven't seen the anime but the manga is really good, the breads all look so delicious...... maybe you should read that instead? Yakitate is actually full of silly puns, and alot refer to Japanese-ish stuff, so... |

erm...i think it's kinda same with the anime - -; it's really full of japanese puns, and japanese jokes, i guess that's why some people don't get the joke and don't find it funny =P

One of the best animes I've ever seen! It's about a young boy named Azuma Kazuma who sets out to make the ultimate bread that'll represent Japan. 'pan' means bread, so Azuma names all his creations Japan... followed by a number. Not only is this anime extremely creative and hilarious, but they teach you how to make bread and many other things found in the end (seed of knowledge). Despite the highly original plot, the characters are amazing! You'll even fall in love with the bad guys cause they're all so great! Each character in Yakitate (main or not) were each developed nicely. I suggest buying or downloading the manga. Instead of that weird Gundam filler episode that they did in the anime, they made a parody of Lord of the Rings. Something about a Loquat of Darkness, it was hilarious. I didn't know reading could be so much fun! This is a must see anime and manga!

Hi, I think its deadly humurous...good for a big laugh. I remembered one scene they had used a Gundam robot fighting scene, the Godzilla scene and so on. I kinda like the afro, totemo kawai shi. And of coz, a standard disclaimer had been announced during the show sayin that the program's under Yakitate Japan. Then again about the pan(bread), the melon pan has been on sale in Japan for quite sometimes. And during one of the episode the Yakitate producer even demonstrate to us how to make Japan No. 2. I've tried it and it taste so fluffy and delicious. When my mama asked me where did I learned that from...I said 'Naisho' ;P Yakitate Japan, yappari sugoi ya... Ja mata ne, mi-chan

Hi kirikus-san, Yeah, reminds me of the scene when Kuro-yan ate Azuma's bread and go to heaven. Suwabara-san was playing the slot machine...hahaha, that scene, can't help but rolled on the floor and laugh till dead XD+ Omoshiroi~ Ja mata ne, mi-chan

'Tis definitely hilarious. It's very intelligent in the way it portrays itself in its characters as well as its humour. Most of all. It made me want to bake bread. For me to get SO involved, it's obvious that it's not entirely terrible. |

The manga is much better than the anime! I nearly died from laughing and my sister thinks i'm nuts. Soooo many breads..... *drool* i should try making one ... Definitely hilarious, all the reactions I like the clown ! |

at first i didn't think i was going to like it, but i'm quickly becoming a fan. i've only seen up through episode #12 though... sometimes the reactions can get a little weird/annoying, but i've come to love the characters and the humor!

i didn't watch the anime yet but i've alreadi read the manga and suprisingly it has a nice story plot .. well .. unlike compared to cooking master boy..Yakitate!!Japan is way better. euu can see variety of bread in the series and its hilarious too ..    |
