Okay, I wanted to rent this game for a freind of mine (he's nine), but I dont know enough about this game to know whether or not to really rent it for him. What I mean by that is, is there anything like bad language or sexual content (hey, I hear there was this one weird movie scene with Niobe and this other woman in this game... confirm please? If yes, then this game's an automatic no). If in the end, its a no, is there anything on GameCube that would be similar to the gamplay of Enter the Matrix? Like the bullet-time effect. Thank you. |

I've got it, and I don't really remember any scene with Niobe, but it's been awhile since I played it (I remember getting to the level where you flew Niobe's ship through the tunnels in the real world; Thinking back to the game, it's fairly tame as I recall. There wasn't any really bad language that I remember, and not really any terribly noticable sexual content that I can remember; There was one level with Ghost (the other playable character) fighting Trinity in a martial arts dojo simulation that might have had some sexual innuendo implied when they talked before they jacked into the matrix, but I might be wrong; (As I recall, it was more teasing each other, as I believe Ghost was Trinity's brother or somesuch...) |

I got the game and there's nothing wrong with the stuff in it. There's some cuss words in it, on the occasion. There's one cutscene, when you play as Niobe in Merovingian's Chateau stage when she encounters Persephone and kisses her, as if she was kissing Lock, so that she could find Ghost, who is locked up in the dungeons. Overall, this game is pretty well fit for you to play. |

So are there any other games with the bullet time effect? |

There are several games out there that use Bullettime-style effects; The one that springs to the forefront of my mind is Max Payne & Max Payne 2. It uses a focus meter similar to Enter the Matrix to turn Bullettime on & off; I think True Crime, Streets of LA had Bullettime, but I'm not sure... Also, Spiderman 2 (PS2 game from the Second Movie) had a Bullet-Time like Spidersense ability of somesort, I seem to recall; |

Try The Matrix: Path of Neo. Aside from some language, it's fine and is far better than Enter the Matrix. EtM doesn't even let you play as Neo, lame! A game with slow motion is bound to be violent and at least rated "T", what do you expect? Also, Prince of Persia (the first one only) is an amazing game with a very brief hardly noticeable sex scene in shadow, that a nine year old would be unable to comprehend (trust me!) The game let's you remind, freeze, and bend time, which is far cooler than the Matrix. Also you can always skip cutscenes, don't be too protective okay, no matter what, children will always grow up and discover what you don't want them too... |
