Technicalities

| I noticed you say not to upload jpop. Does this also apply to singles associated with an anime? For example someone is requesting the song Tenkyuu from Naruto. The song itself isn't in the anime anywhere, but it's part of the single Harmonia, which is the second ending song. |

I asked a question just like this myself not so long ago, and Adminsama's answer was he'd prefer not, though there are several single songs on the website; 'Yuuyami Suicide' from the 'Barairo no Sekai' single from Getbackers, for example, or 'White' from the 'Namida no Hurricane' single. And quite a few Gravitation songs that weren't actually on the soundtrack. It's really a 50/50 answer; there's no 'yes' or 'no'.

if you can point out songs on this site that are NOT from the anime, and site your reference, i will be happy to pull them and make room for REAL anime music. its not a horrible thing, but, i feel like i have been fooled if i find out one of the songs i uploaded is not from the anime. also, it spreads confusion about the song. so, thanks for letting me know.

GetBackers : Yuuyami Suicide - Not from the anime, just from the same single as 'Barairo no Sekai'. I know this as a huge Pierrot fan. GetBackers : White - Same. 'Namida no Hurricane' was the ending but White was just the B-side of the single. GetBackers : Stardust - I don't think Changin' My Life even did a single song for Getbackers. Someone must have somehow mixed it up, as there's a song from the real OST called 'Changin'' and some of the lyrics for 'Yuragu Kotonai Ai' are "Dake baramakke STARDUST." Or something. Gravitation : 'Tearless', wasn't performed for the soundtrack. It's simply an Iceman song that someone marked as 'Nittle Grasper' since Iceman performed 'Shining Collection'. Gravitation : 'Time In My Heart', same as above. Just a song performed by Kotani Kinya marked as 'Bad Luck'. Gravitation : 'Angel Dust', same as 'Tearless'. Gravitation : 'Lost Complex', same as 'Tearless' and 'Angel Dust'. Love Hina : 'Love and Joy', NOT A LOVE HINA SONG. Some idiot marked it as so and it's been stuck as a rumored Love Hina song ever since. It's really performed by Yuki Kimura as an theme song for some j-dorama. FLCL : There's several songs posted that are just performed by The Pillows, but aren't on the actual OSTs. There's a third OST coming out, though, that I'm not aware of the track listing just yet, so I'll wait before I point those out. GetBackers : 'Kokoro no Camera',Oooh! New one! Sung by OTOHA, the chick who did the ending 'Ichibyou no Refrain'. No other songs were performed in the anime by the same artist; just another case of single-song-relations. Gravitation : 'Wish Matrix' (requested), Once again an Iceman song NOT. RECORDED. FOR. GRAVITATION. Shun the lady who posted that request. Those are all the ones that I'm aware of. For reference of the Barairo no Sekai : http://www.todokanai.net/ritz/pierrot/discography.html#single You can clearly see on there that 'Barairo no Sekai' is the single with Yuuyami Suicide on the same one. For the 'Namida no Hurricane' I have no reference other than my own knowledge because I've watched the Getbackers series several times and those were only opening songs; there was no other songs performed by the same artists. 'Like a Cowboy', 'Mr. D' or ANYTHING ELSE performed by Kinya/Iceman/The Seeker are most likely NOT from the actual anime.
