I was curious to know how much it costs to keep such a site up and running... Do you pay the price all alone (along with donations)? Do you profit somehow?

good question. hosting is about $150 per month on average, depends on bandwidth usage. i pay this out of pocket each month. donations often add up to just a little over this number. if i were to pay myself minimum wage for all the time spent working on the site, i would be FAR in the red! whenever i do an update, i could be clocking more hours at work, so i pay an oportunity cost, as well. do i profit? yes, because making a great website is what makes me happy. do i get rich running this site? no, not at all.

On the request list, do you find the songs by yourself and occasionally some people send some in? Also, thank you very much for running this great site.
