Heard of Myst?

| I'm pretty sure it's a fairly old series, but the graphics are amazing. Has anyone played it before? Is it good? Judging from the extraordinary soundtrack and graphics, I find it odd I've never heard of it before. Any ideas? |

| I own it...somewhere around here, and I tried playing it back when I was like, 7. Bad idea. It's a game waaaay beyond the comprehension of such juvenile minds -- or, at least, mine ^^;; Lotsa thinking and deduction and the such. When I say Lotsa, I mean LOTSA. But, yeah, it was pretty cool, I guess. I should probably get around to trying to beat it one of these days. |

Yeah I played Myst before when I was 10 years old. I got the sequel to Myst called Riven. There's actually a lot of sequels to it: "Myst III: Exile" and "Uru" respectively. Yeah I agree with Kara-Chan, the graphics and soundtrack are extrodinary and look pretty good even on any old computer. And I also agree with baldy, the game stresses you out since there's too much puzzle solving, I just download the guide and follow it through to uncover the story. Lol! But when you think about it, I mean in Riven and Myst the game is just pretty much pictures and movie clips combined.  |

Well if you want a STRESSFUL puzzle solving game with extordinary PICTURE graphics (not sure about Myst III: Exile and definetely not in Uru) and some extordinary movie clips, then you should get the game and as Seal_broken said it's pretty cheap now. I think only Myst and Riven are cheap since there pretty old, dated back to the mid 90s, the others are probably still at a reasonable price. Oh! Yeah there's also a interesting storyline to it as well, which I don't understand though @_@. And also Uru is the first in the series to be in 3rd person and you can also play it online with other people I heard. And finally the series appears in this order: Myst Riven Myst III: Exile Uru I hope this information helps you Kara-Chan |

You know. I never finished that game.... It was bloody fun though
This requires a unique combination of
psychology...and extreme violence.
