Does anyone like The Prince Of tennis??Please say you do..coz none of my friends do..By The way..I just want to discuss The Prince Of tennis with you guys.. It's a great anime,really..The only problem was...they just keep playing and playing and playing tennis all the time..which is..kinda boring sometimes.But it really is a good anime.Does anyone in here watch it?They say another second season of thes series is being currently made..does anyone know about this??Can someone fill me in with an answer?

Yes, Prince of Tennis... What's it about? Tennis, one of the most boring sports that there can be... But somehow POT was made enjoyable to watch. How did they accomplish that? With some bishonen (such as Tezuka, Fuji, Eiji... excluding Kaidoh of course and some other uggos) and with the few chibi episodes here and there, and of course the weird jokes and sense of humour. What's wrong with this anime? The world doesn't revolve around tennis. They should get jobs. Also, I doubt that people like Tezuka, or like Inui are in junior high... don't they look a little old? POT is safe to say like Pokemon or YuGiOh. The matches take forever to finish and they make big deals out of "special moves" that don't follow the laws of physics. Here's POT's biggest fault: Echizen Ryoma is an arrogant, cocky, and rude brat. If I had kids that turned out like him I'd seriously ditch them (but i won't be thinking about that since i'm still young). Well, Ryoma made me mad throughout the episodes. "Mada mada dane" what the hell is that? Ryoma should consider dropping tennis and joining a non-enthusiastic cheerleading squad. Well, I'm not done watching the series and let's just say that it's a pain to download over 100 episodes. However, POT has started me into the world of tennis. I know know why Tezuka assigns so many laps, cause all tennis is is running around (a lot of running, seriously) and hitting a yellowish-green ball. About the second season, I actually doubt that it's being made. I haven't heard anything about it.

| Prince of Tennis is SOO awesome! I'm playing Tennis now because of it (lame, or what? ^^;;) I honestly don't know about a second season of this show. You never know, though, it's a good enough show where there's always something cool and different going on. But until then, watch the musicals! |

Ureshineeeee...... thx sooooooo much for writing here you guys.. To Urchin..: i completely agree that Tennis is one of the most boring sports ever existed, at least thats before I started watching The prince of tennis.And I actually started to like tennis,I even took tennis lessons now.Anyway, I always thought there's something wrong with Ryoma's attitude,but-well, I think he's kinda cool that way.But i like Fuji better, he's the ultimate bishounen!! And his smile is so goddamn sweet...especially when he opens his eyes..God!and about that whole out-of-the physics-law, I think Fuji's Hakugei and Tezuka's zero-shiki -drop-shot is waaay against the it, not to mention the laws of gravitation tooo..( By the way, I think the main reason why Tezuka and Inui LOOK that old is because they SOUND old, their seiyuus ARE old, do you read the manga?I read it before watching the anime, and when i first saw tezuka , i was like..."okay, this guy's not THAT bad, maybe i can start liking him, coz he looks cool and all".But when i first watched the anime, and heard tezuka's uncle-like voice I was like "okay, there's no way that I would actually like him") Yeah I think kaidoh's kinda lame,but I think his chibi-self is kinda cute, the "fssshhh...." sound (the happy tennis family episode) is just hilarious, plus the fact that Fuji ius wearing his hair in a tight bun. Oh, and in case you're wondering, "mada mada dane " means : you still have lot's more to work on.Ryoam said it in english during his match with...(damn , I can't remember!He's got too many matches going on with everyone!Was it Sanada?I think it is, )

To hotaru... I started playing tennis because of it too..(but I doubt if i'm ever gonna be good at it) I've been browsin the web for the musicals for like..ever.Can you tell me where to find it??

Oh.....POT is such a great anime.....im also a fan of POT.....but is there really a second season?? nv heard of it b4.......the 1st season of POT have 178 episodes....ani of u guys have watch the ending already?coz in my country here,the anime of POT is only until box 5 which is only until 130 episode...... |

ne, Minna-san...! Good news, I have just had a confirmation about the second season stuff.I wrote to a local magazine in my country and they say, there's definitely gonna be a new season, but it's not even in progress yet,perhaps next year.But there's definitely gonna be a second season..

To aura-chan: Yay! Though I hope they use the same characters... unlike that awful thing Digimon did. I wonder what the story will be like... tennis? Shonen playing tennis, and a few bishonen here and there? The thing about Echizen Ryoma is that he uses "mada mada dane" in places and times that do not fit into context. I know that sure, he adopted that saying, but seriously! Use it when it makes sense! About my favourite character... Mine would be Fuji Syusuke (manga writes Shuusuke, but I am incapable of typing 3 'U's in the same word). Reason why? Fuji is just so cute and cuteness enhanced when he's chibified. What else? He's always smiling, even though he's probably scheming something sadistic. Another favourite character of mine would be Tezuka Kunimitsu. Like, he's just too cool even though he's kind of a robot... By the way... what do samurai have to do with tennis? Is it even about tennis anymore? ... I can understand if the creators want to take POT into a diferent direction, cause well... it's about tennis, but what do samurai have to do with tennis? Pick titles that make sense.

I like Fuji tooo........... He's like the hottest of'em ALL,plus he looks sweet and almost like a girl, but when he's either serious or angry his eyes open and he'll bring doom to whoever stands aginst him.I like his eyes the most,it's like he can entrance anyone with that heavy glow of his gleaming-azure orbs.And he's a tensai for God's sakes, a genius that is.I mean, he doesn't have to pay attention in his classes but he gets good grades.Plus, Fuji and Tezuka are like soooo meant for each other(this is the yaoi version)they look ...well..perfect for each other.Fuji's sadistic nature can bring that Robotic-and -stoic-defence-wall of Tezuka's down. You know Echizen Nanjiro?He's Ryoma's dad, and well..the 'samurai' was sort of the title everyone dubbed him back in the old days where he went pro.So..Futari no samurai-the movie that is- is about Ryoma, spending a holiday or something(I'm not sure) in a big cruise ship , and he meets thiss guy called Echizen Ryoga, who-he finds out later, to be his brother.Weird,huh?Maybe they ARE running out of ideas, but Ryoga-sama's cool!He's like everything Ryoma's not ( in height preferences of course, I think their attitude might be similiar to each other,they ARE brothers, but there's also this rumour about Ryoga being a foster chuld?I'm not prety sure about this one either) Anyway..thx for writing minna-san!

I don't know if it's the crazy fangirl syndrome but I've been seeing a lot of TezukaxFuji pairings. Not that I have a problem with it, dealing that I'm a T*F fan myself. And I too agree with Fuji being like a girl part. As far as the titles goes... I finally understands how Samurai clicks in, also Echizen can be the prince of tennis if he wants, but Tezuka is the king of tennis... making Fuji the queen of tennis? I faintly remember Ryoma's perverted father... yet, I don't want to. I'm in the process of blocking him from my mind, though I find it quite difficult. I find that the arrogance gene runs in the family.

Yeah, I just started watching it a few days ago. I'm on ep 10, I think. I like Fuji kun, Tezuma san, Eiji kun, and Ryoma kun (of course). Has anyone seen the musical? I have part 2, but I can't find part 1 anywhere. |

Well..yeah, sometimes I also find myself actually LIKING the yaoi implications between fuji and Tezuka.Do you read any fanfictions?If you do, i guess you'll find ALOT of fujixtezuka pairings.Oh, and there are also fujixryoma, which I kinda like too, because it's just so funny imagining the two of 'em together. I have to agree..Tezuka's skills are like.. a notch higher than everyone on the regular squad ,but..(don't read the next sentence if you don't want any spoilers)Ryoma finally beats Tezuka at the last episode of The Prince Of Tennis , so... I also like Eiji-kun!I like the idea of a hyperactive guy on the regular squad.I love seeing him glomping Ryoma all the way, just makes him sooooo cute.What's more...he gets along with every single one of his teammates just fine.Have you watched any Chibi episodes??I love the Eiji-the-cat character!!!Kawaiii.....
